Bamako - A bungling gunman who tried to rob the Mali Development Bank (BDM) finished up nursing a gunshot wound in police cells because his invisible charms worked only for him, Mali's police said on Thursday.
The man, who is in his 30s, was wearing a heavy load of supposedly magical talismans. He was shot and arrested while trying to pull off the heist on Wednesday, a police source told reporters.
"He counted on his gris-gris to make him invisible and invincible," the source said, adding that the man had been wearing 15kg of charms, while police found more on a search of his home.
