I'm sort of familiar(ish) with Tarot - that is, I no longer need a guide book to help very much - and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good deck for me. So far I have been using one of those horrible promotional ones they sell next to the queue in bookshops in little boxes, and I feel it's time for a good one. I'm quite a fan of medieval art, but I'm looking for something a bit different to the Rider-Waite (sp?). If anyone could give me some pointers I should be very much obliged. :)

I like the Hudes (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/hudes/) deck... Anyway, to get a feel for some of the decks out there, try this (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/medieval-renaissance.shtml) list. You can also search other decks there, if you have never been to that site.

I prefer the Waite Rider Deck. This is the one many of the books are based on. The cards have great symbolism, and are easy to read. I also like the Robin Wood, but information is more rare for them.

There are a few other threads about choosing a "beginner deck". Hope those help.

This is the deck I use the most and the artwork is very emotive. Only get it if it comes with the booklet otherwise you wont fully understand it
