Devil's Claw

Hello,

I cannot find any information on how to use this herb. It is for confusing enemies and protection. Shall I just make a little bag and carry it with me?
I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

Devil's claw is considered to be a bitter herb that will stimulate stomach acid and improve digestion. It also has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Extracts are typically made from the root. Other preparations are of a lower quaility if stems, leaves or flowers are used.

Common uses of Devil's Claw are for Rheumatoid arthritis, indigestion, as an analgesic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and for back pain. You can order Devil's claw in capsule, tincture, and tea form. I am not sure of the spiritual uses.

A typical dose of Devil's claw is 1 to 2 mL three times per day of the liquid tincture. For digestion, a typical dose is 2 g per day of the powdered root.

I have the devil's claw from Magickal Cat. I was wondering how to use it as a protector/confuser spell. Thanks for your help, tho!

I think making a bag of it, or including it in a bag along with other herbs is a good idea :)

I'd make a sachet out of it mixed with some other protection herbs and just carry it with me.

Well--since it is for confusing enemies...grind some up into a powder. Leave some where the enemy has to walk over it, ie...outside doorway, around car, outside workplace, etc. Just don't get caught.

OK, let me try to actually be more helpful this time.

I like what Pearls59 said. But I like smoke. Depending on the quantity that you have, I'd put some in on a charcol and burn it. Carry the still smoking, smoldering devil's claw around your home for protection, maybe around your car too. Save the ash to sprinkle over the doorsteps around your home. Also do the doorsteps around your work and/or school where smoking herbals are not practical.

I'd recommend also saying or quietly thinking some protective thoughts, such as: this smoke, these ashes are intended to confuse any enemy and to protect myself and those that I love from any harm.
