Is there a pagan pride day? I think there is something in September, where we are all supposed to wear purple ribbons, but other than that, I know nothing about something on April 15.

There are also pagan pride festivals through paganpride.org that are referred to as 'pagan pride day's' sometime but they are different according to where you live.

Sorry, I don't think I really answered your question. Maybe someone else knows :)

Well I think that depends on which Pagan Pride Day group your going through. I'm not sure though, so maybe contact a group in your area?

I don't know about other areas, but Kalamazoo Pagan Pride Day has events all year long. They are funraisers for the main event, but a ton of fun. (Like the Funky Formal, and Pagan Stock (Which may become its own thing because it is so large.), and what not.)

So contact your local group and find out what their doing!

I don't need a "pagan pride day" and I despise the thought of it as much as I do black history month or womens history month.

I'm proud of who and what I am every day and don't need a day to make me feel like I'm better than any other group

It's not a matter of celebrating that you're better than someone.... it's celebrating your unique identity. I agree that we don't need a separate day for that though.... I celebrate my pagan identity every day. :)

I don't know how everyone celebrates Black History Month and/or Womens History month, but with PaganPrideDay(s) I see many celebrations.

Thats why I like the day. For the celebrating, getting together with fellow pagans and having a day of light-hearted fun. I don't see it as some big movement or something to make us feel better than the rest. I just see it as a day to go to festivals that accept paganism. So for me its not something big or too important, just a day to go too a local pagan festival, thats all.

Anyways, mine is in September. But I think the people who do that one also do a few festivals for some of the sabbats.

I believe that most "Pagan Pride Days" are centered around the Autumn Equinox. I don't see PPD as a 'movement' of sorts, except maybe to get us some good press. Its also a nice time to get together with fellow Pagans and have workshops and rituals and music and fun! Oh. And shop. Can't forget the shopping!!
