Should I feel this way?

Since my brother ran away everything has been up in the air, my parents have only just started to chill out and he has been gone since November. To tell you the truth I am enjoying the fact that Im being treated like an only child, I feel guilty for it....should I???

Personally I'd say you have no reason to feel guilty over your brother's leaving. It's not like you forced him out, and who doesn't enjoy being spoilt by parents.

(Why do I feel like I'm going to be kicked for saying the above? Ah well)

It would only be wrong if you were thinking"Oh i hope he never ever comes back, just so i can enjoy this.", But i doubt you are Kyra so.......

Thanks you three, I don't feel guilty, but i thought i should.....but obviously not!Its really bizzare cause sometimes I forget i have a brother, I mean he has been gone for almost 5 months!
The thing is i know hes not coming back...ever, so I feel guilty about being happy about it!

My brother....well....to put is simply, it one messed up kid, but not in a way that you can help him, hes happy in his evil ways and gets a kick out of hurting people and making trouble....hes scum!

I think what your feeling is very normal. Don't feel bad like the others said. He took it upon himself to run away so you definitely shouldn't feel guilty for enjoying all the attention.

Maybe then its good that he won't come back. Now the question is are you going to disappoint your parents too by not going to University? ;)
