I am eternally optimistic about just about everything. It makes my husband crazy. I call him a pessimist, however he says he's a "realist".
How about you....are you eternally hopeful...do you believe in the best outcome in most situations..??
Or do you usually think the worst will happen??

Im a pessimist, but not by choice, i have a habit of analyzing everything, and the more I do it, the worse things look!

I believe most outcomes can be influenced by your actions. So I don't sit on my hands waiting for the situation I do something about it. If I want the best possible outcome I do my damnest to get it. However I am a realist in certain ways to. Sometimes I realize things are out of your hands, in those cases hope is your best friend. I try just not thinking about it at all and just know in my heart that the grand pattern of my tapestry in life will weave itself. Whatever will be, will be. Ce la vie.

I am forever the pessimist. I can't help it! Murphys Law says it best...anything that can go wrong, will!

I'm pretty sure I'm a pessimist...and oftentimes a cynic as well.

Story of my life, Raven.
Although, when things aren't going so well, if I get really depressed (which doesn't last very long) I turn into the worst kind of pessimist and I have to stay away from everyone. Thankfully, that rarely happens.

I am basically an optimist, tho at times I can get quite cynical. I try to stay upbeat to keep the depression down. With me a positive outlook brings a positive reply from others also.

realist. i don't see things any way except for the way they are. that's part of what people see when they think i'm so strong. i'm just real, with real choices and real consequences.

With most things, I'm pessimistic. Like it was already mentioned, Murphy's Law always creeps up and bites you.

I'm mainly realistic, but sometimes feel optimistic, sometimes cynical. It really depends on the situation.

I voted realist.
But, I'm really a mix. Personally, I feel that I am a pessimist...extreme pessimist. So much so, that I bring down others around me quite easily.
BUT, when it comes to looking at someone else's position (instead of my own)...I'm a complete optimist. I can see and explain the "silver lining" on just about ANY situation.
*shrug* so, I'm not really sure what other's would clasify me as.

I'm a huge optimist with a streak of pragmatism to help make the optimism work.

I am the Optimist of the family while my SO is the pessimist. Usually we meet somewhere in the middle. There have been times that we have driven each other crazy too .

I'm an optomistic realist. Even though things get really crappy, I know they're going to get better, and that's just the reality of my world. :)

I'm pessimistic so nothing can be worse than I aspected.
I call it optimistic pessimism.
In the end everything is always better that you hope for, and you are happier than you would be if you where tooo optimistic.

It's hard to say. I am a negative person but sometimes I can't picture something going horribly wrong even if I want it to. Other times I take both sides.
