*just as a note, all eyes are beautiful. This thread, however is about green eyes.*

From both my mother and my father I have inherited green eyes. I love them. My mom has green eyes, her mom had green eyes, and HER mom had green eyes. If there is any physical trait I would want to pass on to future mini-Élistariels, it's green eyes.
Did you know that green eyes are considered seductive?

yeah, that combo red and green runs on my mom's side. My mom's hair is weird though. When she was little it was red, then it turned brown in high school, and started going grey when she was 21. She's in her 40's now, and if she didn't dye it, it'd be snow white....

My eyes rae somewhere in between hazel and green. I like them. I don't know how I got them, though - my mom's eyes are green, and my dad's are half brown and half green. But I'm not complaining.

I love the shade of brown that my eyes are, but I'd still like something different. I have red hair, I'm supposed to be living up to the stereotype!

I am the quintessential odd child. My mother is blonde and blue eyed, my dad is the mirror image of Sadam Hussein, black hair, brown eyes and dark skin. I grew up with red hair and deep dark forest green eyes.

Being named Wendy, that was miserable. No, my dad's name is NOT Dave. I started dyeing my hair blonde when I was 16, and now that I have quit, it's just a sort of ish color... redish, brownish, blondeish with quite a bit of grey. My mom was solid silver by the time she was 30, I'm a little behind but well on my way at 27.

My eyes are chameleon. They can be green, depending on my mood and clothing. But, they are typically a blue/grey. So, when they are noticably green...you *know* somethings wrong!

My eyes are occasionally green... when they aren't a different color.... ;). Green, blue, grey, amber/brown....

Edited to add... well that was disappointing. on the camera and in photoshop you can see rings of color... brown/amber out to green out to blue edged in dark gray...

Wow, that's some crazy genetics on my parents part. I got a recessive hair color (hasn't shown up in my family for at least three generations) and a dominant eye color (both my parents have brown eyes). Hm, how strange is that? All of us kids have brown to hazel eyes, while only three out of five had red hair, the other two being dark brunettes.

I should find or take a picture of them. I have Jolly Rancher candy apple green eyes. They used to be blue-green however, when I got pregnant with my daughter they changed. My mama has blue yes and my dad brown. My sis and I both have green. Her's are a darker green, brown in the inside.

My eyes are green - but being the squishy orbs with a thin disc of pigment they are, tend to pick up colours around them. People have variously reported them as green, grey, gold, blue, "silver", and any number of shades in between.

Muscle tension in your face, from your moods, etc, changes the shape of your eyeball and affects how your iris pigment reflects colour. So can light conditions. Takes some of the "mystic" aspect out of it, but that's what it is.

My dad's eyes are hazel, but I'm the only red-head in the family on either side. My brothers are either blond/blue eyed, or dark hair and eyes.

I don't have green eyes (steel grey, rather), but my hair did the same as yours, Psyche. When I was a kid, I was a white blonde, now I have light brown/reddish...(uhm..when it's not dyed, that is.) :lol:

On the other hand, my brother has eyes like -Ember. Boy am I jealous. Mine are so boring. :T

Odd child out here too.. both my brothers and parents have brown eyes. I feel particularly blessed to have green eyes, esp. since they only get greener, depending on my mood. All my friends tell me they're the first thing they noticed about me.

I get a lot of compliments on my eyes. With my fair complexion and dark hair, they tend to stand out a bit.

I'm the oddball of my family. I'm redheaded, pale, and have green eyes. Pretty rare for a Sicilian! My siblings have darker hair and brown eyes, my parents as well. So, there's no explanation for me. Although, my mother was quite close to the mailman. Hmm.. Heh

They're normally glowing green like this. My Husband tells me that he knows I'm angry when they turn to a deep deep green.

Actually, to be perfectly honest my eyes are mostly green, with a bit of brown, flecks of grey and blue, hints of gold and a rink of black surrounding the coloured portion.
