I know OBOD is reputable. I was just wondering if anyone had tried or knew anything about their beginner Druidry course (Bardic grade)? Good? Worth the money? It's around $310 US, IIRC, for a year's worth of course materials air-mailed to you.

Here's the link - http://www.druidry.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=PagEd&file=index&topic_id=1&page_id=46

Thanks :).

EDIT - Ah, just found this thread (I'd tried a search before but didn't come across it for some reason) - http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=66230&page=4&pp=10&highlight=obod

I'd still love to hear from anyone who didn't weigh in then or anyone who has a new or more developed opinion, though!

i'll bite,

OBOD is a good organization. Being a self study I have problems with their costs, not to mention the weak position of the dollar against the pound. That said, if you feel the need to be guided in study you could do much worse. Enjoy!

I'm a little iffy on OBOD.
Admitedly I am signed up to their newsletter, but I don't believe in holding knowledge for money. If you have the money and don't need to spend it on something more important then go ahead, it can only increase your insight right ?

But, I would hold off on OBOD and spend the money on supplies or tools in your practice and just use the information available freely. I'm sure most of the users on here wouldn't mind giving you advice and free links.
