How long does it take to firm up again after melting and mixing?

I'm sure as soon as it cools off to room temperature, it would go back to it's original state. However, if you are mixing it with other oils or substances, it will probably not go back to the same firmness.

Yeah, if you can tell us more about it- how you mix it- are you whipping it? What oils are you adding if any?

Also when you melt shea, you can either hold it at melting point temps for 20 mins or so, or quick-cool it inthe freezer so it doesn't get grainy on you.

I cold mixed Shea butter with jojoba oil, then slow melted.
I then added about 10 drops each of 3 diffrent citrus oils. Thats it.

I went to check it, its all creamy and smooth, set well! my original question was basically to ask how long it usually takes to set.
