Anything I should kno before....

Hey everyone, I looked though this area hoping to find a thread about my topic, but I didn't....

I want to do a ritual involving my cat(s) {I have 4}-- a blessing along with protection{involving Bast} but I was wondering if there is anything I should know before I do this...?

Like-- Is bringing a cat into a circle or in the area of a ritual bad/harmful/ill advised? I don't want to cause harm to my cats. Or should I not worry? {I'm not worried about Bast, but other things that they may be sensitive to}
oh, and I'll be writing the ritual myself...

Anyone done something similar? Any advise?

I often find it quite difficult to keep my cats out of a circle! They are enthusiastic participants and observers of nearly all my practice - but I do allow them to choose - if a cat wants to be in your circle then you won't keep it out, but the reverse applies too... Don't expect them to follow a script.
