help--relationship falling apart...

My SO of 5 years and I are having a really hard time...can somone give me a reading about this...

He doesn't trust me becuase of a mistake I made in the past (a year ago, we broke up and I had a triste with someone, and he sees that as infidelity) and for 1 year I have been trying...but he has closed himself off and refused to try to work with me...

I could use some insight...

I am using the Arthurian Legen Tarot....i decided on a three card spread

1) Past-four of spears-the details on this card are as follows:
A Man and a woman surrounded by a circle of people in a party...the couple are embracing one another and kissing...A joyus occasion, it seems that your SO(Significant Other?) has had a wonderful relationship in the past. the two of you were very romantic and new how to have fun.

2)Present- Two of Swords-the details are....the backside of a knight with two swords strapped to his back facing a man heading his direction on a raft crossing a river.

Meaning-a moment of indecision, a stalemate
my impressions: It seems your SO doesnt know how to feel about what has happened while you were apart...i think he feels that you never "offically" broke up with each other....sit him down and quietly discuss the matter with him. ask him how he feels. Let him know how you feel.

3) Future-The Universe-details: a skyclad lady is dancing around two pillars with drawings of and angel and a oxen on one pillar, and eagle and a grffin on the other pillar....in the near background is Stonehenge

Meaning: Completion, Harmony, Liberation,progress,accomplishment

my impressions: He will forgive you..he will realize that was has happened in the past is just that...in the past. Doesn't necisarrily mean that it will happen again. He will understand that you love him dearly and wish nothing but to be a happy couple once again

note: i am new at giving readings....please give me some feedback good or bad....i do the best I can

Ok I thought I'd pull 3 too, from the Tarot of a Moon Garden deck.

Past - King of Swords
Present - 3 of Cups
Future - Tower

First thing I notice is the 3 - who is he concerned about you with, or is he just generally nervous about you being around other guys? Seems to me that he may or may not have any basis for being worried but he's made some nasty comments about a friend of yours or a guy on the street or *someone*. Perhaps you thought all this stuff was worked out but he just brought it up all the sudden again?

He seems like a sharp, analytical guy for the most part (the king of swords).

The Tower suggests the so called s**t has hit the fan - meaning, it's time to get through this again. Maybe he just forgave you before or let it blow over, or maybe you thought it was just all behind you, but here it is up again. Perhaps you need to tell him that if he can't trust you now he never will. Perhaps it is time to work through why you broke up then. I then pulled the Devil, which suggests this is a warning. I asked what would happen if you left this alone again (tried to let it just pass) and I got the 5 of Swords. He says you will find problems beneath the surface (ie. this jealousy thing may just be something else he's angry about coming up in this way). If you do do something you get the Moon, which is I think a symbol of peace. Meaning, perhaps you guys need to face the Tower together now to find the Moon. Does this make sense?

Future-Opposition

you and your SO will come to a truce soon. Face your fears and wait for things to blow over. Unfortunatly he will probably still have resentments unless you can both be open with each other and let the past go.

Hmm......I don't know. Your impressions are the feeling YOU get from the cards while reading them for Xois. If you felt it was right....then it was the correct interpretation for that moment in time! :D

I don't know though about the Universe card....I can only say that sometimes it's been my experience that the World (Universe) can mean....that things have come full circle....it's a ending before we go back to being the Fool. Pending on the feel of the reading, I interpret this card in a couple ways.....either you are right, he thinks the world of her (or her him) and will try everything in his/her power to keep her/him....or an ending card that leads to a new beginning. It could be telling her that this phase will pass, and they will move past this. Or ...that she needs to focus herself, get centered. There could be a million interpretions!

Anyways.....I think you did great! I know how much courage it takes to go out there on the limb and do a reading! .....and everyone else how has read the cards, has been there! :D I know that I always wanted to give the happy ending type readings but lets face....life is anything but that most the time~! That is why I occassionally PM a reading as opposed to posting it here. :D

It could also mean that this phase needs to be faced and dealt with once and for all so the next phase can begin.

I havent got my cards with me today though so I will try and do a reading tomorrow... although I have to say that the Tarot can change at any time ~ just choosing one path over the other so its really in your hands :)

He called me last night and admitted to me that nearly all of the problems in our relatoinship come from his moodiness and his unwillingness to forgive me

BUT he has also agreed to go to threapy with me...something I ahve been trying to get him interested in for about 6 months...I am scared...I am hurt...but i love him

I know if we can get though this we will be invincible
