Ok I have some sacred objects that had been stored and removed and now the feathers are scroungy on some. Like the quill isn't broke but the oh i forget the parts of the feather now. the pieces off the main shaft are in all different directions. i took water on my hand and tried to fix them but they stick together in new ways instead of totally straightening out. anyone know of a good way to fix feathers?

Well I know when birds groom themselves they use oil from their preen gland to straighten out their feathers; maybe you could use some sort of oil?
