I use baths for much meditation, and for many rituals I start off with this meditation and grounding... I use differ'nt secents and aromas for differnt goddesses and alot of vizualzations and chants.... the scents and the water and candle light make for a very magickal experience.... I do a clenseing ritual where I use jasmine and white tea and I sit in the water and meditate and visualze all negative energy as black dripping off of me into the water and then visualize myself glowing and the I get out leaving all the negative energy in the water and let it drain away... I found its good to connect with goddess... I take alot of solitary rituals and make it so they work in the bath.... and it works for me... its best for meditation clenseing and such....

Our website has alot of information and products to use in bathing ritual. You can check out our Spiritual Side of Herbs (http://www.pagandragon.com/Spiritualsideofherbs.html) page for some new ideas. There is also an herbal attributions page that speaks on the magickal uses of different herbs (only herbs we use in our products) but it's a start.

Thanks! I wasn't really trying to sell stuff, just sharing the knowledge. :) Of course everything we make (and do) has a ritual aspect to it. Right now we are working on a line of Altar and Ritual items those should be up before the end of this month.

What a wonderful idea! Iv done cleanseing baths, but never really thought about doing rituals. Can you explain more how you make specific rituals work in the bath?? I will have to give that some thought the next time I want to do a ritual! =)
Blessings!

I did bath magick for the first time recently. Basing my work on Scott Cunningham's Incense, Oils, and Brews, I made some bath salt using 3 parts epsom salt, 2 parts baking soda, and 1 part salt. I added 4 essential oils to it and then empowered through ritual. Don't know about effects yet, but the bath was great. Better than any bath product I've ever bought over the counter.

Wow.... I love baths SO much, though I never get a chance to take them while I'm at college - that's one of my favorite things about going home on weekends. I've done a little bit of bath magic in the past, but you've given me so much inspiration... GREAT ideas! Ahhh.... wonderful baths...

I find sitting in the bath really spiritual. Just sitting back in something as natural as water makes me feel close to nature even when it's too cold to go out. I have some good bath 'spells' (I am not sure they are spells. I found them on a website and there are combinations of oils etc which can help with certain things e.g. astral projection) PM if you would like to know some of them.

I never thought about bath magick. I love baths, though our bath seriously needs to be replaced. Nasty rust and stuff. Not good. I suppose you'd be able to adapt them for a shower too. I sometimes find myself doing a little cleansing when I'm in the shower. I must look into this more.

No problem. i was thinking about bath magic and sometimes it really helps to make the whole experience special. I like to light candles and think about my intention the entire time. plus sometimes i make up a mantra to repeat in my head so that I concentrate and my mind doesnt wander, relaxing music can also focus your thoughts. I do have another piece of advice: Don't get too relaxed while in the water or you might fall asleep and that's really dangerous!

I love ritual baths! I like to fill up my tub and put in whatever essential oil I need, light some candles and some incense, turn off the light, and put some soothing music on. I do most of my spellwork in the bath. That's my favorite place(besides the kitchen)!

I haven't tried any spellwork in the bath but I do try and meditate (I need the practice). I had a bath before dinner tonight and I was in there for an hour. Did me some good, too. I don't feel so tired. Had some interesting experiences, mainly involving Bennu and a brown hawk, which was fun. I had the lights off with some candles lit. Good to focus in. I don't let myself fall asleep in the bath mainly because I'm sitting or kneeling, which keeps me focussed enough to not fall asleep. Thanks for the advice though.
