Love magic

Any one have some ideas for rituals/spell for attracting a life partner into one'slife??? I know there are moral/ethical issue surrounding love spells but Im interested in hearing some ideas. I think simple spells are best. I really like the idea of "bath magic" in the other thread.

I have to admit to myself that at 35yrs old Im getting desparate. I never thought finding a life partner would take this long. Iv tried everything, even the mundane stuff such as blind dates, online dating etc..... nothing has worked. Love magic is a last resort for me. I even have someone in mind but Im afraid of forcing him into something he dose not want or is ready for. Im almost ready to give up on men all together, but the thought of ending up a spinster lady is a most horrible thought!! ( at least for me it is)

I do have a lot of "draw love into your life," and "express willingness to love" spells, mostly from friends of mine, with whom they're popular. Here's one that shouldn't worry you too much about interfering with free will. It involves poppets and is actually pretty simple. You need material for making a poppet, such as cloth, but I'm sure paper would work in a pinch. This is probably not the spell to try a wax/wood poppet with, because this needs "stuffing," so to speak. You also need a white and red thread of about the same length (pretty long.) An apple and some honey would be helpful as an offering.

Begin with yourself. Brainstorm all your admirable qualities, everything you would wish a potential romantic partner to see in you. Don't be shy about it! Next, you will write each of said qualities on a strip of paper, and use these little strips to stuff a poppet, which will represent you. You might add a bit of hair to the poppet to help with the connection. It would be okay to bless the poppet or do some sort of additional ceremony to tie it to you, also.

Next, brainstorm all the traits you find attractive for a partner. You guessed it: write them on little slips of paper and use them to stuff another poppet. Since we can't really know yet just who out there is intended for you, there's no need to bless this poppet with a name.

If you have a specific person in mind, I suppose you could consecrate said poppet in his/her name, but a lot of people would consider that manipulative and harmful. It's a personal choice: I probably wouldn't, but then again, I've never been particularly gone on someone.

You'll need to then do a ritual to connect the two poppets. I recommend burning incense corresponding to love, and perhaps casting a circle. Wind the white thread (which represents the purity of your intentions) with the red thread (representing love.) Then, tie the two poppets together with the double-thread, in a nice bow. You might want to write some sort of incantation to read aloud, stating your intentions and asking that they be fulfilled.

If you're going to offer the apple and honey as an offering, now is the time to do it: slice the apple horizontally so that you can see the star inside, and spread both halves with honey. Offer one to the universe as an offering, and eat one yourself indicating your desire to love and be loved.

Keep the poppets somewhere nice and clean.

Items needed:

Rose Water
1 handful dried rose petals
2 pinches dried lavender

Hold the rose petals between your palms. Empower them with love. Place in the bottle.

On the day of a new moon, cut a red heart out of new red crepe paper or card. If you have a wild rose, use a fallen petal that is heart-shaped.
Take a clean sheet of white paper and with a pen no one else has used, write on it this incantation:

As this red heart glows in candlelight,
I draw you, lover, closer to me this night.

Then bathe and change into nightclothes.
When you're ready, light a red candle and read the spell aloud. Hold the heart in front of the flame and let the candlelight shine uponit.
Then place the heart and spell in a new envelope, and seal it with wax from the candle. Conceal the envelope and leave it undisturbed for one cycle of the moon, which is twenty-eight days from the day you began your spell.
By the time the moon is new, there should be new love in your life.

Item needed:

A medium length each of green, mauve and blue wool.
Floral perfume

A perfect soul mate is possible for everyone, but for love magick to work effectively, you first need to love and believe completely in yourself.
Reflect on that for a while, and then cast this spell at 7 O'clock on a Sunday evening. Gather together the three lengths of wool and tie them end to end so they form one long strand. Spray a light mist of floral perfume around you and then loosely wrap the strand of wool around your waist.
Look at your reflection in a mirror as you say:

From the song of the sirens,
With the call of the mermaids,
I now open myself to receive true love
And never will it fade.

Finish by rolling the strand of wool up in a ball an keeping it in a drawer near your bed.

You ar suppose to get two white or pink candles. You light the candle for you and say: I lovingly dedicate this candle and its flame to my spirits guides/ angel/ancestors. May they hear me and recognise my prayer. Then you light the other candle and say: I dedicate this candle and its flame to the spirit guides/ angel/ ancestors of the wo/man whom I am meant to spend my life with. May they bring us together in a loving relationship as quickly as circumstances will allow.You may also ask them to remove any blocks in your path. Spend some time meditating and praying. Be sure to write down any impressions. Repeat this prayer by slowly bringing the candles together each night for seven nights. On the seventh night be sure that the two candles are burning as one.
