View Full Version : Deja vu, or something more?

My fiance has had a weird thing happening to him for a while now: five years or so. I thought I'd ask about it. I have my own theories, which may or may not be exactly correct or unbiased, so I thought it'd be interesting to get others' views and such on it.

Usually, when he goes into a new home - or room - or a recently remodeled room that's dark, he'd see himself out of the corner of his eye: doing what he's doing at the moment, but where he was about to be. I was going to say this was deja vu: but as I thought a little more, it doesn't seem as likely that it is.

All in all, he's basically seeing himself as a reflection: just in a spot without a mirror. Usually, it's out of the corner of his eye as well, and in a dark/low light room. It's also usually in a new place he's going to be for a while, or in a recently changed room: like, if he's spending the night somewhere new.

Also, only out of the corner of his eye, and only once. If he turns on the light, or looks at it, it's gone. It does happen in the same place twice, but it's rare. Basically, once every two months or so. It's also common for it to happen if he's relaxed and content: no emotional highs or lows. It has never happened when he was on an emotional high or low.

He can verify it is him, as he's changed the way he wears his hair, as well as it having the same clothing he has on the time. Everything is exact. He's never touched it. It seems slightly transparent, but more like it's slightly blurry.

I really couldn't say for sure what is happening to your fiance, but what you describe seems very similar to something that happens during trance-like states. It is as if you are outside looking at yourself. It is type of astral projection and it can happen during meditation, or ritual.

Perhaps your fiance is seeing himself in both the physical and astral realms. Why this would be happening to him in unfamiliar or rearranged places, I couldn't say.

I don't know if this helped. Maybe there is someone out there who knows more about this.

It helped a bit more, thanks. :)

Anyone?
