greetings,
i am seeking advice on where to start on my path. can anyone suggest a really good book, websites ect? i am desperately seeking to fill my spritual needs, and everything i have read about wicca is exactly what i have beleived in and just didn't know it until recently. if anyone woud like to chat or email me feel free, i am always ready to make new friends and learn more about wicca.

Well, around the different forums you can learn plenty, there are also different threads with recommended readings (at Books), help for new pagans (at New Pagans), some cool links for newbies (at New Pagans) etc And you can always ask around if there is anything you'd like to know :)

Hi faeriedust

Read books of Scott Cunningham! Easy to read and to understand for beginners. He just motivates you to start and try witchy things yourself, and also has some good advice for solitaries.
I'm no Wicca, but like to read wiccan stuff though.
Also try Starhawk, she's brilliant!

Emy's post contains the best info as far as Mysticwicks is concerned - check out the specific forums we have here! You can start your own threads, ask questions in existing ones, read older threads, etc. There is a wealth of information around here, you just need to stroll around a bit! :D

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner
by Scott Cunningham (RIP)

Read through that. A lot of people got started on their Path by that book.

those should help you get an understanding about what it is all about...

also, be careful about what you read online, look at the source, who wrote it..........

there are alot of self proclaimed "Authorities" or "grand high priestess's " etc not everything online is factual...alot of it is misleading and religiously biased. but there are some good sites out there...good luck........also check the new pagan section there are alot of good posts and the Mystic Wicks resources link is awesome too....
