Merry meet,

My father has been ill for quite some time. He'd been battling 3 forms of cancer and conjestive heart failure. I wanted to let everyone know, specially those of you who have known for quite a while (many were with me when my Mom passed), that he passed into Summer Land over the weekend. He was happy to know that I had a good job and a good man in my life. He said, "I don't have to worry about my girl now, I love you.":hugz: He passed peacefully, and though I didn't want to loose him, I know that he is with my mom and all of his brothers now. He is no longer in pain and is happy and whole again. Though, it is sad, it has left me with feelings of relief and serenity. He'd been suffering for so many years.
If you can, think a positive though for him and feel glad for him. I am doing ok, it's hard, but as I said, his suffering is over and he is at peace.

Love to all,
Frodo _pounce_

I am so sorry for your loss, but I understand what you mean. My grandfather was miserable after my grandmother passed over. Then he suffered with a long illness and was longing to go as well. When he passed, it was a blessing, and we were happy that he was no longer suffering and back with my grandmother...where he longed to be. Sometimes, its almost a beautiful thing. Blessings and peace to you and your family. :hugz:

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my own father to cancer in October of 2003. It can be hard, but at the same time, a relief, when you've seen them struggling for so long and then they finally pass on.
