An Odd Observation

I have been reading about all the different things that have been going on since the death of the Pope, as well as things that still need to happen. Then, like a bolt of lightening :idea: I got a thought.. ( I have too much time on my hands sometimes) anywho.. alot of the pomp and circumstance surrounding the Pope and the funeral and electing a new Pope are just rituals. Althought they don't call them that.. they are all rituals of somesort. Now while I knew Catholism has 'rituals' but they call it Mass.. it just struck me that all the motions going on over there are just pretty fancy rituals.

Just a random thought I had.. thanks for letting me share it.

I totally agree with you. The Catholic church has lots of rituals that have remained unchanged for centuries. The chosing of a new Pope being one of the most secretive of all. :uhhuhuh:
