I am a member of a small circle of solitary practitioners of different paths. We celebrate Sabbats and practice together on Esbats. We practice in 1 members back yard. We always cast the circle in the same place and we have 16 rocks or stones that we place around the perimeter of our circle. Well, we noticed that the grass around the perimeter of the circle has died, and there are bare spots in the grass where the stones sat from the last time we held an esbat ritual. We did sprinkle salt around the circle, but not very much. It doesn't seem like that small amount of salt would kill the grass and no salt was where the stones were set. (also, the stones were put away that night, they didn't "sit" on the grass) It's been kindof funny trying to explain why there is a giant circle in her yard to her VERY Catholic family! LOL

So does anyone know why this might have happened? Do you think it's just simply the salt? Or could it be something else? Has anyone ever experienced this type of thing before?

Please send responses to airla@casting-shadows.com

Thanks,
Airla

Salt really kills grass...so I'm assuming it is that.

It might be the salt. Or... it might just be the energy raised during your esbats. Concentrated energy, so to speak, might just affect the area it has been raised/produced at. My own thoughts here: others might disagree with me. ;)

Mmm. Perhaps try grounding and earthing the excessive energy after every esbat?

That was my feeling as well, that perhaps we didn't get rid of the exess energy and some how it actually scortched the earth. To be honest, I don't remember how much grounding we did and it was an especially powerful night.
Any ideas on how to get the grass to grow back? We've tried water and fertilizer. We're stumped.

Thanks for the replys!!
