Jasmine is an aphrodisiac right? Well, I got the essential oil the other day, and have been wearing it ever since. So why doesn't it seem to be working??????

...as worn on the body are affected by your natural chemicals. Some scents are attractive on a woman [or man], while some are not... this works on a case by case basis. Jasmine may not compliment your chemistry.

Just like magick, what works for me, may not work for you... and if it does, most likely it will be in different ways.

...just a thought... well, I had another thought, but that is a different story.

Hi Kaylara,
Jasmine doesnt work for me either!
My theory is whatever smells you like and turn you on are your own personal aphrodisiac's!
I especially like Sandlewood and Ylang-Ylang (and so does my boyfriend!) - which are two other strong aphrodisiac's in the Aromatherapy family! I mix them with Vanilla and then have a relaxing sensual bath or use the oil for massages ;)
If you can I would strongly recommend you smell as many oils to determine which ones you like and then pick a few that mix well together and see what happens!

The common aphrodisiac (except Jasmine) Oils are:
Rose - for women (and guys)
Sandlewood - for men (and girls) - smells lovely and warm woody
Ylang-Ylang - supposed to be the most potent - smells wierd but really sexy
Bergamot - smells orangy and nice with rose

mix them with a Apricot or Peach base carefully (even make a spell) and dab on every day - and in no time at all you will have lovers dropping at your feet ;)

Patchouli is also said to be an aphrodisiac. I've worn it for a few years instead of perfume, and it hasn't hurt! ;)
Ylang Ylang is definately nice, as well.

Traz hates patchouli (and I don't like it too much either.) Funny, my friend told me that I wasn't allowed to wear the jasmine around him anymore because it was driving him nuts... No such luck with traz... I will try the ylang ylang though...
Or I could feed him some damania.

One other simple option. Go to your kitchen cupboard and pull out the vanilla. Yes the stuff you use in baking. Dab a drop on the pulse points of your throat. If nothing else you'll smell heavenly. ( soem mendon't like the smell of perfume or oils. They want to smell the natural woman, you know the fermones we emit naturally.

All this info seems really interesting, just the thing to get me started. I'll have to go out now and buy some oils to test!

I've a rose scented perfume that I wear and I sometimes think that I'd need to beat my beloed back with astick this way I could go to work. Can you guess what his fave flower is??? <laughs>

Aside from that, for some reason guys seem to like stuff that smells like food. A friend of mine has perfume that smells like chocolate (I have no idea where she got it, but she's driving me nuts with chocolate cravings now) and that works great for her. If you try something that's a light scent, it may work better for you then the jasmine. Also, I've heard that cinnimon works pretty well. :D It's that fire association thing I think. ;)

LOVE SOAP

4 parts Geranium
3 parts Palmarosa
2 parts Neroli
1 part Ginger

Wash with this soap to attract love, or prior to love
rituals. And again, rose water may be used in the
same proportions as plain water in preparing the soap.
