Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any spells or rituals to alter your perseption of time. You know like how time seems to go fast when you are having fun, and slow when you are bored. Well I want to alter my perception of time so that those moments when I am happiest of all and just want to stay like that forever will seem to go slower. And likewise when I am sad or bored if it would seem like time is moving quickly.

I agree with Ember and would like to add (because I think the two go together) learn to be fully present in the moment of the present! When you are fully immersed, you get the full impact of the moment, really experience it, also, a nice side effect is that when you get into the habit of being fully present, there are very few bored moments.

I think most bored moments are because rather than being where we are, we are wishing we were somewhere else. If we be where we are, and are busy experiencing now, we are less likely to be bored.

There are some really easy mind control techniques to do this and it is frequently employed by proffessional athletes, as well as folks like me who would rather stretch the time of having fun and make waiting in queues pass quickly. Try Googling "time distortion" and "nlp" together, you should find some techniques. It's a bit too involved to go into here, but if you are dead keen you can email me for more info.

Meditation is a way to acheive time distortion, but it'squicker, easier and cleaner to just go straight for the time distortion techniques themselves.

Well, there's time manipulation, and then there's manipulating the way you perceive time. Both are possible, but you asked for the latter, so...

Meditate. Meditate, meditate, meditate. Meditation may sound too simple to be true, but it isn't. It's a major backbone in magical thought, and those who do without are worse off.

Thank you again.

I already know how to meditate and I use it to make myself feel better and more relaxed, but I never really noticed any changes in time(or rather my perception of it). I took a look at that NLP and it looks promising, I'm going to try some of the exercises.
