What are Your Fav Constellations?

I have always had a close relationship with the constellations, during a hard time in my past while moving from Cali to Texas, Orion and Casseopea (sp) were my special compainions, when ever I felt lost I would look up and see them shining down at me...

anyone else have favorites, or relationships with certain constellations?

I have the same feeling with Orion, I look up at it and I just feel more peaceful, centered, guided. I have no idea why though.

Ok, what the heck is that about? Before I even read the post, I looked at teh title and said "Orion" hmmmm wonder...I saw it (Orion) in Costa Rica when I was there and it loooked MASSIVE. Beautiful. Always have loved that one. Oh, and I have Cassiopea (spelling?) in freckles on my arm! LOL

i have a Ursa Major (Big dipper) in freckles on my arm! How cool! Prolly, Orion (also known as Osirius!) and Big Dipper.

I love Orion and The Plough. I can recognise them really easily and whenever I need to ground myself I look up and see them. I love the way they are so reliable and shine so brightly that you always know where you are!

Yes, Orion is mine - however, when I went to Spain on holiday a few years, I looked at this wonderful constellation with a huge sweep at the bottom that looked like a scorpion's tail, and thought "wow, what's that constellation that looks like a scorpion?". Guess what - it was Scorpio!

In the UK, we don't get to see Scorpio (well, only the very top bit and Antares), so I'd never seen the tail before. If I lived further south, I think Scorpio would be a favourite too :)

Hi, I dont have a favourite constellation, but my interests are karma and the legends of Sirius. Interestingly as my Pluto rose on the Asc. on the day of my birth (parans) the head of the dragon (hydra) and Sirius also rose on the horizon.
I wonder if my interests are because of this?
Ive put a sky map on attachment to show this, but expect the earths curve to be shown in the opposite direction...if you think about it, this shows whats rising, to what you are actually able to see, from the birth location. Regards, The Monk

That is an amazingly familiar statement. I think I've heard myself make it a couple thousand times ... despite many attempts, astrology and astronomy just don't stick in my head.

I'm an orion fan for sure.

I like the big dipper....probably because it's the only one I can ever find. :p
