It is possible that your friendly ghost has moved on- or another posiblility is that there is less astral/energetic chum in the air for her to build an apparition out of.

My families house had a very active 'friendly' ghost that only really manifested during my teen angst years when there were a hellovalot of family tensions flying around, so the air was chock full of emotional energy all the time to boost up his vibes. When I left he he completely backed off, to the pint where I thoght maybe he had moved with me, but no he was still there (popped up again on occasion when I visited and when my folks divorced) just had no energy to boost him into being noticable.

Basically if you are energetically aware and doing any sortof clearing or cleansing on a regular basis, or there is generally less astral soup floating about it could well be that she is still there but unnoticable.
