Mayday excitement!

Which was the first fesitval you took part in? This time last year I was just beginning to openly explore paganism... Beltane was my first celebration of that. I cant wait for May this year because it is exciting in so many ways. I am so happy to have made it for a whole year of happiness. Does anyone have any ideas how I celebrate this with a ritual? I don't mind if it;s not particularly Beltane related. DId you guys do anything to celebrate your first year practising?

Well, the first sabbat I celebrated was Samhain. I remember I actually had the house to my self. It was quite exiting, and inspiring too. I didnt have a clue what I was doing but itfelt so very good!. =D For Beltane this year Im getting together with a few friends and we are going to try mixing up some love teas and massage oils and try some divination with love as the theme. I will do a meditiation as well on beltane and.....if the weather is nice I may get a fire going in our fire pit in the back yard. Beltane is a Fire festival afterall.

The first festival/ritual I took part in was a Beltane one. It was quite fun, even though there were only three of us. We met on the beach and set a ball of rattan on fire to symbolize the Beltane fires. We raised a cone of power and then we grounded the excessive energy. Then, we ended the ritual by feasting on nice food like smoked mussels, fruits and cheese.
