Personally I don't believe in evil spirits, demons, or the devil, but I found myself very fascinated tonight by my neighbor who claimed, that he was born 1/2 demon, and he's scared many people in his life(personally I think he just has issues), how on the 25th a war between heaven and hell was going to break and how there were evil spirit around our street. Personally, I've only seen the good ones, he was an aeithist, etc. It was just crazy, I didn't believe him, however, I stayed over for 2 hrs. listening to it, it was so weird. Anyway, does anyone here believe in evilness such as devils, spirits, etc, or that someone can be half demon, or angel, or there will be an antichrist, etc. He also believe 3 of the 4 horsemen of the apoclypse lived in our town, it seems so tv to me?

No offense to your neighbor, but must be just pulling your leg or he might have some sort of mental illness.

Well your nieghbor seems a bit off :bangyourh , but I do believe and know that negative (evil) does exesist, I on the other hand don't believe your nieghbors perdiction. I agree with the above post he's pulling your leg. I also want to add that the world would not be balanced with out good AND bad. It's the ying and yang thing you hear about.

I beleive in evil entities. I guess you could call them demons, but I dont really beleive in the christian concept of demons.

I met someone on another forum who tries to convince everyone that he is a half-demon demon hunter. But, most of the time he doesnt know what he is talking about, and people call him on it. Its pretty hilarious. SO, its not totally unheard of.

It sounds like your friend has been watching too much anime and/or playing too much D&D.
Its kind of sad when you have to explain to somoene that they arent really a level 14 elven mage.

I deffinatly agree there can be no good with out bad, it would just be bland. I also believe we all are capable of being demons or angles, though not all angeles are good and some times the demons actualy show you things that need to change. the spiritual world is just as veried with opinions and emotions as the waking world so to look at it in black and white would be missing out on the rainbow.

I don't believe in "evil" spirits per say. I believe that there are selfish spirits or troubled spirits that don't have your best interest at heart but I don't believe in some comic books type evil villian spirits whoes sole purpose is to destroy us. Your neighbor probably needs therapy.

There was more to the story and I've known my neighbor for a while, so I think 1/2 demon thing came from him having an admitted anger management problem. He's always seemed a little crazy and weird, so maybe this is an imagative story he hatched to explain himself.

Well since I'm predominatly Goetic I beleive in demons and spirits but not in the sense one would think. I beleive that demons are like a 'lesser pantheon' so to speak because I call upon them and such. o_o; But I do not beleive they are evil. Nor do I beleive they are good. I think they are indifferent and do not know the difference between good and evil.

Some of the things Your neighbor said are similar to some key questions on Mental Health tests for people that have disorders.The tests help the doctors to gauge what types of disorders the person has and how to treat them effectively. Maybe have a serious talk and urge him to go have an evaluation from the Mental Health Dept.

I dont believe in "evil" as the Catholic Church would define "evil" - ie. The Devil, or war between Good (God) and evil (Satan), etc.

But I do know and have experienced what I would call unpleasent spirits. Not so friendly, but I wouldnt say EVIL. Some are out just to freak you the hell out - And they get a good kick out of it. Some just dont like humans or being disturbed. Etc.

But "EVIL"? I dont think so. The definition of what is "Evil" is different for each person and each culture, therefore, you cannot define a being as "evil".
