I just love the shopping deals you can get at Halloween. I got a great coffee mug for one dollar that has a cute pic of a friendly looking witch and says "Life's A Witch"! I also got some precious candle holders and cauldrons that I can use year 'round for a dollar each. (Some 2 for $1!)

I just wanted to share my love for this overly pagan friendly festival.
:boing:  :T :p :boing:

(PS I'm sorry for those of you who live in areas that are having unpleasant festival experiences because of the US Gov't problems.)

They come out with the witchy-est stuff this time of year. I got a rather inexpensive, great broom for display and magick. It's stuff we can use all year. Makes the joy of these seasonal finds a little better. I can't wait for the after Halloween mark-downs. Time to stock up!

I'm a very bad, BAAAAAAAD girl at this time of year. I love to decorate the outside of the house with cobwebs, monsters, bodies, etc. The electronic skulls, witches, and other goodies get hidden strategically in the bushes and then when the trick-or-treaters come by they get a thrill. The kids love it and I always keep an eye out for the little tiny ones that might be too scared to come up and make sure that they know it's pretend.
I had one little guy a couple years ago who was with a group of older kids. As they came up the walkway he was proudly proclaiming "I'm not scared, I'm a man, I'm a man!" One of my chattering skulls went off and started wailing and the boy screamed like a little girlie! He recovered his sense of humour and they all had great fun! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I always have to decorate more for Halloween. Like it's a month and a half long party. We put up a few decorations earlier this month, but when the little one gets home from school today, we are going all out to finish. This is my first year decorating with a child in my house. :D It's such fun! (Even though I ended up choosing to not put out my gross bloody-looking skulls. ;) I don't want to upset her or her mom.)
