need support

hi all

I wasn't sure what forum, so this one works.

I need some support for tommorrow (monday). I don't care if it's just a pat on the back or a candle or a tarot reading or a "you can do it, puma" or what. . .

something happened over 10 years ago to me and I'm finally coming to terms with it and I'm going to file a report. . . but I'm so nervous. I WILL go through with it, but I need all the support I can get to see that it goes well. I don't want a simple report turning into something like a horrific court battle or me being called a crazy person in the newspaper or something. I"m just scared, I guess. Nothing should happen. But you never know.

So any support would be greatly appreaciated.

Coming to terms with things can be scary enough, but to actually attempt do something about it can be quite trying! I hope that if there is a court case, the truth is easily seen. well, I sent the report. It took two hours, and they're going to be contacting me.

In case you wish to know, it's a child abuse report form.

I'll let you guys know when I get the responses and stuff.

I hope all went well with you on Monday. I understand your apprehension about filing a report. When I tell people about some of the sexual abuse that I've survived they look at me like they think that I'm joking.

this is a dammed sight more common than most people realise. over the years i've been lucky to have a number of very close female friends, closer in some cases than my blood sisters and i've been told things that not too many guys hear and the stories of childhood sexual abuse are an all too common thread when a woman can talk to a man she knows she can truely trust.
