Just wanted to pop in and say that. I feel like I am always working or sleeping and only get a chance to browse the boards for a few minutes at a time. Hopefully things will settle down soon...we close on our house Oct. 26th!! Yay!!!

I have been so moody the last week or so you guys should be glad I haven't had more time on my hands to share the wealth!!!

Can't wait to get settled back in and start some readings.

is where you work experiencing the nursing shortage....... or are you just filling in........? We had a number of nurses quit for various reasons ....... including the other supervisor ( who left in a huff without ANY NOTICE just called in one day and QUIT because admin wouldnt give her some extra days off longer story but boring.......)
and some who were going back to school....
So I am working extra too....... I like the money but miss having time..... to do other things......

Overtime? That is the understatement of the year! I am weekend option meaning I am supposed to work 32 hours a week and this pay period I had 118 hours!! I had mentioned to my boss that I wouldn't mind putting a little overtime as we are buying a house and the other weekend option nurse wanted some too. Well we had a fairly new nurse that worked 8 hour nights mon-fri and she quit and our boss just asked if we wanted to split her hours whch we agreed to. However I got stuck with all of it this time for some reason. Oh well, it is over now, I think, and the check will be great!

they call it part time -full time.....but the latest debate around work is ...... if you are working on your "day off" is it really your day off anymore ?????? We dont think so .......LOL
BUT 118 hours ..........I cant do those hours anymore.............more than 40 do me in......
I used to but not anymore........
besides ...... Its really bad when work interferes with your life..........
then again......... I spent HOW much money at Wal MArt the other day???? nice to have the "cheques" coming in.......
I agreed to work for the other supervisor for TWO WEEKS ...... LOL two weeks was over two weeks ago..........
It isnt too bad..........I am not a nitpicky supervisor ..... if you get the JOB done I dont care if you are wearing purple scrub pants and the dress code says white YES we are from the dark ages.... ahh well.......maybe I can get someone to work for me thursday and have two whole days off in a row ......... hehehe
