As I begin work *again* on my thesis (now that I have settled on a thesis) I need to make an offering to Athena...does anyone know of anything particullarly good to do...
Does anyone know her color or scent or flower?
Thanks!
Xois

Athena is the patroness of spinners and weavers, and in that sense, knitters. Her symbols are new cloth, olives, owls & oak. Maybe make her a little woven mat & decorate it with oak leaves & acorns?

isn't she also about wisdom?!
Do I have the wrong goddess?

Athena is a goddess of wisdom! Her wisdom is represented by the owl and the apple, her healing abilities by the snake and her generosity and mercy by the olive.
Her substance is sulfur, and her symbol or graphic the same as for sulfur (triangle or square on top of an unequal cross)
I think that's all I know...

Damn Xois, did you change your thesis topic again? I thought you were writing about the Odyssey or something....

Sorry, Xois! You're right. I guess I was thinking of Athena as she relates to me. :p
