I have been reading alot about different pantheaons and the more I read I feel stronger and stronger need to honor and follow the path of my ancestors-Viking.Allthough I still feel the need to follow "God" not sure of if it is christan upbringing or because of I think that he has come to me in dreams. As The First. But here is a little thing I read, wich I have not read anywhere here,This is icelandic and is strong in my culture,it is in the icelandic covernment crest and when I read this I even got a stronger feeling that the viking is my path.

Landvaettir
King Haraldr Gormsson of Denmark told a warlock to hie to Iceland in some altered shape, and to try what he could learn there to tell him: and he set out in the shape of a whale. And when he came near to the land he went to the west side of Iceland, north around the land, where he saw all the mountains and hills full of guardian-spirits, some great, some small. When he came to Vopnafjörðr he went in towards the land, intending to go on shore; but a huge dragon rushed down the dale against him with a train of serpents, paddocks, and toads, that blew poison towards him. Then he turned to go westward around the land as far as Eyjafjörður, and he went into the fjord. Then a bird flew against him, which was so great that its wings stretched over the mountains on either side of the fjord, and many birds, great and small, with it. Then he swam farther west, and then south into Breiðafjörður. When he came into the fjord a large grey bull ran against him, wading into the sea, and bellowing fearfully, and he was followed by a crowd of land-spirits. From thence he went round by Reykjanes, and wanted to land at Víkarsskeið, but there came down a hill-giant against him with an iron staff in his hands. He was a head higher than the mountains, and many other giants followed him. He then swam eastward along the land, and there was nothing to see, he said, but sand and vast deserts, and, without the skerries, high-breaking surf; and the ocean between the countries was so wide that a long-ship could not cross it. ... Then the Danish king turned about with his fleet, and sailed back to Denmark.

the thing is I feel a bit conflicted. On the other hand I feel strong connection to my heritidge, and my viking bloodline and old icelandic believs. As in the mystery people(elfs),landvættir, and other enteties living in iceland. But not really any connection, towards the gods or goddeses, maybe that is because I was raised to believe those were just stories. But I do feel a strong connection towards what people might call God  I feel confused and dont know how to merge these.Without dishonouring the Viking Gods and goddesses and my ancestors .Well you probably just think now I am just being silly..Prpbably I am and should go to sleep now.But thx anyway Mjöllnir

I don't think you're being silly at all. I think you hear your Ancestors calling you through the veil of time. I think that many followers of the Northern Way feel a closer connection to the landwights than to the Gods. Sort of makes sense, as one would have closer dealings with the landwights, generally speaking.
