Right off the bat I'd just like to express my appreciation: I've posted here before with a [related] question, and everyone was extraordinarily helpful and resourceful. =)

As of right now my sophomore year of high school is drawing to a close which means that the pressure is on to discuss SATs, ACTs, college choices, GPAs and careers in my near and not-so-distant future. It's a headache just to type it all out - so to fill my that area with a little bit more fun and some mild peace-of-mind I wondered what my chart had to say about it.

Astrologically speaking, I have a multiple-planet T-square (Grand Cross if you count an asteroid) with the focal planets hanging out in the 10th house - the house of careers & social standings - how bothersome. Content, [seemingly] well-adjusted Mercury is also there (feeling smug as a bug in a rug while he's in his rulership & exaltation Virgo, which also is on the cusp of my MC) so he's not scaring me as much as the others. My question is what would be some fairly good career paths to consider; taking into account all the T-Square action and other planetary influences that I have rockin' in the 10th house?

Thanks for your help. =)

You have some beautifully placed planets, Rachel - Jupiter exalted in Cancer, Saturn in rulership in Capricorn, and Mercury in rulership in Virgo right on your MC. Moon, Venus and Mars are in detriment or fall, which means these are likely to behave less conventionally. With Mercury on your MC, communication will obviously be key in any career - and this doesn't have to mean communication in the "traditional" Mercury sense like journalism or telecommunications. It could be how you communicate with people. With Mars conjunct your Sun, and Pluto conjunct your Moon and trining Jupiter, this will probably be pretty powerful communication - something transformative. Politics would be one outlet (especially with that Sag rising), but with all that Libra and Scorpio stuff, therapist or counsellor may also be a path to consider.

In addition to what Fluff said, I could also see careers in teaching, organized religion or anything dealing with that Sag AC. You want a secure stable job - no freelancing or temping would suit you, which is a very emotional issue for you. There is a clear tendency toward leading positions and active professions.

With the ruler of your AC in the 8th house, this is where you want to expand and develop yourself. You desire this to make yourself feel complete. Have you considered nursing, therapy or counseling? You look as if you could help others get to their own depths.

The central theme in your life revloves around your sun in Libra. Although you have a very strong skew to the east here (the "me" or "I" aspects of life), you will feel the need to work with others, or have your work result in more harmony for the other people.

Teaching! Yes of course, Keishin - how did I forget that one? :)
