It is difficult to comprehend that cats endured persecution -which we all know that they did. I have 4 solid -black cats here(Midnight, Shadow, Bear, and Jumper). They are of the most affectionate in my menagerie. I know today that there are those who still have a 14th century mentality toward black cats. (1364 was part of the plague in Europe which was in part due to superstition against cats and in particular, black ones!)
