Kern, thank you for sharing the link.
I believe the original source for that list (and it's explinations) is from Raven Grimassi, and I think it's from the Riders of the Crystal Wind's Book of Shadows.

What I find particularly interesting is that this material was written by me several years ago, and appears on this site slightly reworded. I note that no source credit is provided, which I always find disheartening. A sentence has been added to a couple of the deity names, for example "Uni" - along with a questionable attribute (the thunderbolt, which actually belonged to her consort Tinia/Tagni).
The names of the deities on the list all appear in my own Tradition, which identifies this specific list of names as belonging to the Tanarric system.
but there is not " stregheria " the word dies a lot of years ago.
It is still used by many of us as a token of honoring and respecting the Old Ways.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out.

Anytime, Raven! I remembered reading that listing when I obtained a copy of some of the files associated with their BOS, and Strega is near and dear to my heart.
Kern, I'm so happy that you're finding paths that resonate with what you believe! There's several people who post on MW who practice Strega, including Mr. Grimassi, so if you've got questions, ask away :)

Someone ought to e-mail that person and let her know that she should be providing source credit, and that just adding or subtracting a few words doesn't make it not plagarism. Copyright stuff like that makes me mad.

Unfortunately I've found that contacting them doesn't do much good. Very few people will say "Oops! Forgot the credits!" and place them on the page. If you're not just ignored, you'll get flamed for your trouble.
*tsks* Some people's children, ya know?

I'll be sure and do that Enozgirl....
Its weird I Had never heard of Kern being associted with Italian witchcraft, but I chose that name or it chose me.I thought it was because I was drawn to the Celtic Cernunnos, but lately I am beginning to wonder.I mean why did I chose Kern and not Cernunnos or even Cern or w/e.The name Kern just popped into my head, never hearing of Kern as a form of or as a name of a god before.
Hmmm
In Peace!

Yes, Kern is associated with one or more traditions of Strega. As you may have observed in your studies and research, there are many different traditions of Stregheria, and each may use different names for deity.
It's always so amazing to me how magickal names come to us! It demonstrates to us that we have connections to the Universe that are there, even if we're not aware of them!

When I compiled the list of names for an outer-court style teaching, I used the spelling "Kern" purposefully as a phonetic rendering of Cern, which means horn or horned. People were pronouncing Cern as in sir, so I tried to bypass that. It is interesting to see what has spawned from those days and early writings.

True...
Yeah to me also. And I agree,we are not always aware of those connections. And like I was saying to,I chose the name or it chose me before I had ever heard of it being spelled that way...And Like Mr.Grimassi said,he chose the spelling to differentiate it from the s sound of the C as some people prounounce it.I too chose the K for the same reason.
In Peace!
