I have been told in the past that a 2 full moons in a month constitiutes as a Blue Moon. But I also have read somewhere that if 2 full moons fall under the same astrological sign...THAT is a true Blue Moon. Willl someone please help me clarify what is true? It is however my planet and I just want to get my facts straight.

I've not encountered that in my studies of Western astrology, BUT in Vedic (Indian) astrology it is mentioned that a true blue moon is when two FM are in one astrological sign.

I always thought it was two full moons in a month - but apparently this was a misunderstanding that started in an astronomy (not astrology) magazine in 1946, and the "three in a season" definition was the original:
