Ok so I'm getting prepared to take my SATs and it's been like 9 years since I've even looked at and Algebretic Equation. So I decided to do and Online Practice test. Well I did horribly so I went and found a tutor page. Lemme tell you- I am NEVER going to learn this stuff in a month. Now I know why I never wanted to go to college in the first place.:\

Just remember that dots equal multiply | | = absolute value, and that its always positive! ... and that 2 different types O number (+ & -) when multipled or divided are negative, when the same type, positive, and you should do good on the basic stuff! ;)

Intent is important.... so is visualization.. whether it is in ritual or out here in the mundane reality.... If you say "never" then so will it be....
It *is* possible. Go at it in an organized way. Set up priorities. Stick to your study schedule. If you can afford it, get a tutor. Don't feel helpless. And remember that if you don't get it on the first try.. well... you can always try again. You *will* eventually get there if you really really want it. Keep looking at yourself in the mirror and say - Yes, I can! .. and then work, work, work. bb talamh

this may not be the best thing to say but, before you take the test, make sure that the college you are applying to reqires an SAT score for admission. I went to community college before transfering to a university, and learned AFTER the fact, that I did not actually need to take the test. (Community/Junior College's do not require and SAT or ACT score for admission. The school you transfer to looks to you JC preformance as the main factor that determines your admission)
and if you do need to take the test, eat a good breakfast before hand (you'll need the cals), clear your schedule as much as you can afterwords, and relax. If there's something you don't know, don't worry about it. Your math score isn't everything. (trust me, I know! ;) ) And by studying, you'll have improved your chances of getting a better score, even if you don't know everything that's on the test.
And remember, no points for a unmarked question, but you lose points if you get an answer wrong. So, when in doubt, don't guess, leave it blank.

SAT's are about the only place where your intelligence doesn't matter and what you have memorized and been taught matter most. I score unimaginably high on IQ tests (well above high genius levels, believe it or not) and quite inferior on SAT's. Don't feel bad about it and study your @$$ off. Are you trying for a Community type college or University? Like Nyx was saying, that makes a HUGE difference! If you don't do well, and know this is what you want...Take a year to study in your "off" time. Take it later.
STUDY STUDY STUDY!!! Good Luck no matter what!

I never took the SAT. All the nursing schools I was looking at told me that my SAT score would not matter because I still had to make it thru their tests and screening. I ended up going to a community college so the SAT didn't figure into my college stuff.
