Hi,

I'm planning a trip from NJ-Seattle and want to leave between the 13 and 16. I then noticed that Jupiter is going retrograde through my 9th house, and conjuct natal Mercury during that time.

I see this as potentially... everything going wrong?... falling under a grand delusion?...

The point of this trip is to see, in person, the city and grad school (for acting) I'm considering. I've already committed to acting and going to a grad school for it- this trip isn't to decide that, it's to see the place itself. Doign this is opening a fulfilling, wide path of potential. It's what I truly want to do with my life, and acting provides spiritual... perhaps not fulfillment... but as close as it gets without actually knowing God.

How appropriate for a 9th house Jupiter/Mercury conjunction, isn't it?

So, do you think it's the right time for me to go out on this limb, travel, see, explore, and go for it? Or should I hold off until Jupiter goes direct? (whenever that is?)

Well Jupiter goes direct again on June 5, so if you can wait that long, sure. :bumpsmili

Looking at your chart (which I got from a previous post), I see what you're talking about.

Go for taking that long trip, or study or generally boraden your horizons. I would worry more about travel problems if Mercury was Rx, than the Jupiter Rx. Jupiter is also in accidental dignity here - meaning that it normally is positive when in the 9th house.

When a Jupiter is moving in Rx motion, it does not always mean that you're going to experience a reversal of good fortune (although, I must point out that this is certainly a possibility). I meansthat we feel its energy the most intensely then. Remember that retrogrades of all kinds are about the 're' prefix: renew, revamp, rewrite, revisit, etc.
