OK, I need some ideas and help. A few days ago while sitting in my night class I was doodling and I keep drawing the same basic figures: triangle shapes and suns..
the triangle thing was the strongest. I keep drawing things that looked like triangles or flat prymids.. the sun doodle was the coolest. I started out drawing a sun complete with smiley face and cool rays.. then I started to draw a woman.. that with out it meaning to, melded with the sun. she had a pointy hat put from it flowed streamers or veils not sure what I intended them to be. I think I was thinking of medevil princesses or something.
So.. if this is a good or goddess.. which one or ones??
I am most interested in the Greek, Roman (to a point) and Celtic deities.. but I have come up blank..
Any ideas??!!

what do you feel it is? if it is a god talking to you then you should have some sort of insticlual guess.
the pyramid thing strongly suggests an egyptian goddess or god - i dont know about sun goddesses or thier consorts so perhaps try looking into that.

Well, I agree that with the pyramid coming into play its most likely an Egyptian god or godess of some sort. Or maybe it could be an obelisk, both the sun and the pyramid can connect Ra, though he is a sun god and not really female, most of the time. As far as sun goddess go lets see there aren't many of them but, theres Saule, Freya, Shakti, Surya, Brunissen, Igaehindvo, Walu, Amatersu, Hathor, Sekhmet, Cailleach, Aine, and Sul. It may do you some good to do some research on one or all of these goddesses and see if one catches your eye.

I willprint out this list and start looking and researching. I have been on a research kick into a certain Goddess but this doesn't sound like her completely. No matter..this is at least a start..
Any one with more ideas?

It sounds like Sekhmet(and Het-Hert, as well, since they're two sides to the same coin) to me. Bast and Aset are also solar goddesses - just sticking with Kemetic because that's what the pyramids/triangle and sun with face suggests to me. here's some sites:
www.per-sekhmet.org
www.per-bast.org
www.per-aset.org (seeing a trend? ;) )
You might also want to check out the Aten:

I hope I helped some...if I think of any more I'll post them! :)

Ok.. so I did a little looking and out of all the ones listed.. Saule sounded just beautiful. She sounds alot a like another Goddess I am researching. That tells me that I am on the right path. That other Goddess is Hestia.
Both of them very committed to what they do. They both seemed centered among family.. or atleast family is important. Which is neat, cuz my family is priority one. Both are seen as loving and compassionate, but it sounds like you don't want to piss off neither of them.
So, I just thought I would update everyone.
Again, if someone thinks of something else, please let mne know.
I feel now more than ever that I am on a search and on the right path.

Bridget is often associated with the Sun and fire in general - she's Irish. There's a good article about her here (http://imbas.org/articles/brighid.html).
The pyramid doesn't sound like it has much to do with her, but you never know I guess.

Thanks for the article. You were right, it was interesting. Unfortunately I don't feel it was her. I have this feeling the answer is right in fromt of me and I can't see it or get it. It's almost frustrating.
I am going to a Beltane ritual tonight, maybe something will come to me there.
Thanks for your help.

why don't you ask her? light a yellow or white candle as an offering to this goddess and ask her to reveal herself to you. Im not to sure of a lot of sun goddesses except maybe Amaterasu she is the supreme Japanese Kami. (spirit)

You know, that sounds realitivly simple. I should try it. I usuallyl ike to be prepared and such, but this might work. Although, I think I should try it when I feel better. I probably couldn't summon the strength much less the energy I would want for something like this.
Thanks!
