Okay I have seen some nasty beheading footage given to me by my digusting brother who doesn't get phased in the slightest by such disturbing video. And they are soo real! Military people being captured and tortured... Why are these happening. I seen one where a guy didnt even try to get away.. I dont get it. are these real or staged.. why wouldnt a guy run for his life?? Ughh pointless thread but those video's are sooo bad I dont understand why they are made or watched in the 1st place :sadman:

there was one video that was faked, but most of them are real. there is no way i'm watching them, its too disturbing. I can't even watch most horror films, and those are fake, but when its real, well, thats just disgusting. what can i say, some humans are stupid.

a LOT of them are fake...

There's a site out there (which I won't name) which says it has videos of people being killed, but they're ALL fake, and they can EXTREMELY convincing

I know someone in the military who's been fighting - he has videos from the front. I haven't seen them, but I know they are disturbing.

My bf used to like to watch things like that too. I never could, seeing pictures doesnt always bother me but last night I was looking something up and I clicked on a link and it showed a autopsy picture of someone with brain cancer and I almost threw up. I prefer to stay in my happy little world where death does happen but I dont have see it.

someone who genuinely cares about me gave me strict orders to NEVER EVER no matter what ...
EVER watch any of those beheading videos ... he's a soldier, and tough as they come.
But he said that the sounds and sights of these video horrors, would be in his head forever.

I was grateful that he wanted to keep me from that sort of experience.
Personally ....
I'll Never be able to understand why someone would "knowingly" watch anything like that.

..... Yea, no offense, but you didn't notice this happening at all? How self absorbed are you? I'm not trying to be mean, but this has been happening since shortly after the Iraqi war started (exactly a year ago in May)... You didn't notice until AFTER A YEAR? <.< >.> o.O I'm honestly, honestly not trying to sound mean, it just scares me when people are that oblivious (and I'm a pretty oblivious person myself, I only watch the news, maybe, once or twice a month...).

Anyhow.. there are conspiracy theories. The one where he doesn't move at all is the Nick Berg video, the very first man to be beheaded. And he was an american soldier. He was very obviously beyond drugged up in that video, so, if you're worried, he at least didn't feel any pain. He didn't even scream. :| One conspiracy theory on that is that it might be a fake body, and they didn't really decapitate him.... But, they definately killed the poor man. However, they switch clothes/people half way through. Those who like conspiracys can look into it further. Personally, I wouldn't want to watch it more than they showed it on the news. :|

There have been probably at least 20 or more beheading videos since then (and one shooting video). But only one other person in those videos was a captured american (so far, that I know of. The others were british and korean).

It's a very scary world we live in, isn't it? ;.;

(P.S. ~ I apologize for being so blunt. It's just insane that some people can ignore things like this for so long. ;.; Just don't let Bush destroy SS, people.)

Have you actually seen all of them? Do any but the very first video ever praise Allah? Honestly, I'm curious. I haven't seen any but the first two or three, and only the Nick Berg one had them shouting, 'Allah, blahha, allahgu' very crappily... And I'm very glad that I never saw the rest. :(

The only thing I don't get is, why does the first video look so crappy? Videos don't look THAT bad when passed through a digital signal (I made home movies and independant films with my husband and his friends, and a crappy video camera from, like, 1999-2001, and it doesn't look that bad...).

I refuse to watch such things, whether they be fake or not. That's too disturbing.

Shana-Chan, it's one thing to recognize if it's happening and another to be assaulted with unexpected video, real or faked.

She can read the news all she wants, and CNN rarely says GO HERE! WATCH THIS VIDEO! In fact, rarely you'll find any linkage to the websites that post these types of things through normal media. It's kind of rude to insinuate she's living in a bubble because she expresses disgust over something her brother sent her.

Of course there have been videos, I'm sure we all are aware of that. Doesn't mean we expect to see them in our email. Doesn't mean we shouldn't be offended when someone directs us to the material. Doesn't mean we're ignorant of current events.
