he sees dead people

My husband, like many of you folks here, sees ghosts, everywhere, all the time. He too has seen them since he was a child. He feels that he could help people with this ability , but he is afraid to tell anyone for fear of being locked up :crazyman: . (he has had emotional issues in the past that wouldn't help but are'nt related. )How do you tell someone this? or do you. I guess he thinks he should be doing something with this instead of just sitting on it. they don't seem to ask him for anything they just are around. some are family and some are just any person who has passed. he also sees these energy swirling(he calls them vortexes) and other stuff. it's not like there are medium support groups in the yellow pages ya know? Any input would be great!

Tell your husband that we are all crazy in some way, some more then others. I am of the opinion that he should use his abilities if the oportunity presents itself. What about the vortexes? And what does he think they are? From the discription you gave, they sound like portals of some kind.

He says when standing in the center of one it's' like swirling engergy and gets the sense that they lead somewhere but it doesn't open all the way. like you're separated from everything else for a minute.

Many people see spirits. He doesn't have to really tell anyone this.He can try to communicate with the spirit to see if there is something he can do to help them move on.Sometimes spirits do not even realize they are dead.Sometimes there are secrets they need to make known etc. I am not sure what to say about the vortexes perhaps it has something to do with the energies ?

Okay, from someone who doesn't "see" ghosts, but experiences them quite clearly:

Sometimes, the beings that we call ghosts are like shadows cast by the souls of the departed. There isn't a lot of substance to them, and we mostly see the hints of whoever it was that cast them. This isn't to say that ghosts don't exist/happen. I've encountered my share of bound souls, caught in-between by any number of circumstances. But they seem more real, if you get my drift.

From what you're describing of his gift, he hasn't really encountered any full on ghosts. Yet. And this isn't always like The Sixth Sense, where you can simply go to someone and pass on the information. Unless they're very open minded, information like that can cause more harm than good.

If he can learn to trust himself and his perceptions, he'll be able to tell when there's a soul in need of help. If he's more of a medium, it may be that there is a message that needs to be relayed - somehow, to someone. That can be difficult, as I've already mentioned, but it could also be fairly easy. If there is a trick to this, it lies in listening to his instincts and trusting that gut feeling.

However, if your husband has more of an active gift - the ability to actually deal with the flows of energy around a caught soul - then he might be called on to release those who are caught. some ghosts he just spots here and there, he has helped a few. then there are some that seem to come and go as if they know they are dead and show up to check on things. He likes these 'cuz they are different each time, a different age, clothing, he had an uncle show up in the passenger side of the car!! I think he just wishes he could tell someone because it's like keeping a secret and he doesn't want to keep it anymore. He's still fine-tuning it.
