I need all the practice I can get with my runes because all my friends always want Tarot readings so I never get to read with my Runes that much..
So... Im offering my insights up to you all just step up here! & ill be so pleased to draw a few runes for each of you :p

Ok here goes... (Please bear in mind that im really new at this :))

I dipped into my bag for your present and short term future ~
& interestingly got one rune from eact aett!

I threw them down and nearest me fell ~
Laguz which stands for Lake or Flow ~ This is a really emotional rune so I then immediately thought that this reading was about your love life! ..but it could be your own emotional state aswell...
Wunjo fell just above Laguz to the left ~ this rune means Joy! and Perfection! I felt really happy seeing this but I a little bit puzzled as next to it had feel Algiz which stands for Protection ~ These two runes are very different ~like yin and yang and probally the balance that gets tipped one side and then the other with you. I would say that you are guarding your own emotions at the moment and have been for some time. This is ultimately stopping you from getting joy and perfection.. you think you need to be defensive to some extreme and control your emotions where Wunjo is telling you to celebrate your love and maybe not be so serious about perfection ~ with love and happiness and feedom comes perfection.

Ok.. hmmm.. these runes are tricky! :)

I threw them down and they all landed in a triangle! With Eihwaz in the centre.. I was drawn to Raido and Eihwaz allot more than the others...

Raido (bottom left) stands for a journey and is the rune for new beginnings and is a very destiny rune.

Eihwaz (centre) is a very strong rune too which also stands for change and transformation. It tells us to confront our fears and overcome past hurts to move forward and achive our desires. So I think the ride is not over yet and you still have quite a way to go with certain things ~ I get with your love life and spirituality more than anything with this reading...

(At the top of the triangle) fell Hagalaz which means hail and stands for disruption, another big change rune! Ick! But within yourself more than outside I feel.. you have to give up a way of thinking to move forward. This is going to be tough and quite drastic but its a death that is neccessary.. maybe this is what happened on the weekend and your already there with this one!

Because the last rune I looked at was Uruz (bottom right) ~ strength ~ which tie in with Raido's new begining's and is the personal wealth rune ~ the intuative rune that tells you to belive in yourself and trust your gut feelings.
The bottom two are very positve and energising, happy, transformation, and creative runes so its all going to turn out really :sunny:

Hiya ~ i just thrown three for you.. here they are..
These landed quite far apart in a V..
The first two I got drawn to was the Thurisaz and the Othila Rune.

Berkana is a really feminine rune for me it means growth in a persoanl sense, family, friends, children! I feel that you have a real nuturing and gentle loving energy around you at the moment. You care allot for others. This is also a cleansing rune so it could mean a new attitude or new start if life.
Thurisaz is Thor's rune and the opposite (to me) of the feminine Berkana ~ Im not sure if you are male or female? But I think these two aspects of your personality often conflict and cause trouble for you emotionally. You may look inward allot of the time when alone and so not like being on your own ~ you love to care and love others but maybe not yourself? (Ick I know this is getting Deep...
Othila stands for ancestral land, your self I think in this reading. I think this is saying you need to explore yourself and your own values, goals and loves more. You need to find yourself again maybe and take some time to get to know you instead of everybody else.

Thanks so much Silver! I've never had a rune reading before, but it did ring true. Now I'm even more psyched to get making my own.
I'm so happy that "joy" was in there, giving me hope to hang in there. It is one of those times where we can't seem to even speak without a disagreement and bitter words starting. He's one of those men that is "stereotypical" in the way that he does not understand feelings and emotions at all. He probably doesn't mean to hurt me as much as he does, but just has trouble communicating in this manner. I likely expect too much of him. And I'm the opposite. I have huge problems with anxiety and I am overly sensitive, and i think at times that he expects me to just buck up, toughen up, when it's not my nature. So ya, I think I've built this wall around me for protection. I keep him at arm's length afraid that he'll hurt me more than I can bear- but keeping him at arms length hurts me too. It keeps us apart. One of these days I'll have to summon the courage to get out the sledgehammer, tear down that wall, close my eyes, and then just jump into it!

Ok I threw four down in the shape of a semi circle..
and got a very powerful feeling of the extreme ~ I dont knwo what extreme I just got that something was very important but what?

The bottom of the curve was Pertho which stands for the mystery and the hidden side to everything. Fate and forces we cant control... so immediately I got that maybe this reading or you are hidding something...
Next came Isa which means Ice this is a challenging rune and asks for you to move on from something it ties in with Pertho as it relates to yourself the I ~ obstacles that maybe you need to overcome and explore?
Next Dagaz which means day and is the infinity sign. It can mean a day or a night or something that is on going. It stands for a breakthrough which i feel is about to happen ~ a shift in oneself, a change. It is a very happy rune with allot of success and joy within it but implies that a breakthrough is needed for this balance and harmony.
Then finally Algiz which stands for protection and is a new beginning rune. It is a positve self rune, I think that maybe you will get some support from an elder which you can trust and convide in or you may just simply develop a new outlook suddenly that will be your breakthrough...

Does any of that make sense? Hope so :)

You'll have to excuse me for being a bit new-agey, but this immediately brings to mind the thought of 'self-discovery' - which is a journey I've definitely started this year!

Yep, definitely! The biggest difficulty I have is letting go of the past and some bad things that have happened. There are times that this obsession actually brings them back into my current reality - it's a long story, I'll explain it some day - but I really do have to learn to let go...

I'm a big homebody really, and stability and security is something I generally crave, so I tend to avoid change... I can also be incredibly lazy and positive change needs an effort so I do tend to find it tough! I get the feeling this may be a process, rather than just an event, but you're right, it did begin at the weekend.

Ive just drawn three from ym bag for you they kind of fell quite far away from each other so I thought Id put them in line...
Fehu (Wealth), Raido (Journey)and Tiwaz (Victory) which are all very positive and happy runes!!
I think that something (if it hasnt just already) is about to really open up for you and go with a bang it will deffinatley be something to do with material gain (Fehu), maybe a new idea and venture or maybe a dream you have been planning to start for a while. Its goign to happen soon (Raido & Tiwaz) and its going to really go well by these three runes! Your just going to have to work very hard, have a lot of self discipline and maybe make some sacrifices. Be patient and you will get all your rewards!

The first Ansuz that drew my attention and landed closest to me, stands for just this and a body and mind kind of balance aswell if that makes sense? I think its going to be a persoanl message to you but soemthign that will unfold and make sense of these big changes in your life. Above it landed Fehu which stands for material wealth but can also be about spiritual wealth.. so I think this message is deffinately going to bring some good news and bring you some good fortune whether on the physical or spiritual planes.. and this is going to boast your ego!
Algiz drew my attention last .. It stands for protection and can be from someone else as a warning but also from your own emotions and dilema's ~ its there maybe becasue you need some control and positivity within yourself and this new news will bring this to you? I drew three and threw them down.. they landed in a triangle Thurisaz left point, Mannaz at the tip, and Sowilo at the right point. All these three are from the 3 different aett's

Thurisaz (Thor's rune) is a protection rune but can also mean conflict of the self. I dont know what life is bringing you at the moment but I would say from this rune that it could be nice for you to find some time to rest and just chill ~ maybe this weekend...
Mannaz means man and again stands for the self. It is a self discovery rune and I think as this landed at the tip is the kep to happiness and your harmony and balance in your life. I think youve been on a journey of self discovery and maybe now been very busy and not been able to put as much into your self and your beliefs as you used to.. This rune aswell as Thurisaz is saying to carry on that journey now if possible. This can also mean a new begining and a new direction so hI think this time will bring new discoveries.
Sowilo the sun rune is also about the self!! And as it is the final rune it indicates the outcome of self discovery!! Happiness, growth, celebration, light, inner light, power, fertilty and good health!! Hope no one minds, I thought I'd jump in and do some readings too. This is my first reading for someone else tho, so please be gentle. I drew 3 and they landed in an inverted triangle.

Thorn reversed, Rad, and Hagall.

Thorn reversed suggests there's a difficult situation involved, or that the querent is low on luck. Something needs to be done to remedy this.

Rad suggests a need to move now - it points to travel and communication. It may also suggest messages that will alter your current situation.

Hagall suggests the road ahead will not be straightforward and simple, and that you may run into a sudden or unforseen setback. It is up to you to be strong.

Yr (or Yew) is a positive rune and suggests you are within striking distance of your goal.

Is (or Ice) can refer to a warning or protection, or suggest things must be put on hold (like putting things "on ice").

Beorc (or Birch) suggests fertility and nurturing a project. It is generally a good rune but reminds us that hard work results in gives the best results.

Hm, interesting reading. Is is kind of ominous but the other two are positive. Perhaps if you are thinking of changes or new beginnings you are being reminded that working hard will give the best results. Perhaps if you're thinking of a current project it means you've already worked hard and while you continue to do so you need to wait awhile until the situation is right. Either way, your goal is likely to be reached, so good luck!

The first rune that landed was Gebo and I immediately smiled and had lots of happy thoughts.. I didnt see in what order the next two fell ~ Ansuz and Tiwaz... and immediately thought of you teaching young children and all there smiling faces.

Gebo is a really lucky rune and actaully means 'gift' it is a rune of a very generous nature and has allot of positive giving energy! It stands for love, genouristy, offering, gift, partnership and good fortune. So this is you, your inner wishes to teach, love and care for others. You have a gift of teaching and knowledge which you want to pass on as a gift to others, this is very meaningfull to you I feel and the basis of your teaching dreams. You were given these gifts by your own teachers and peers and now you want to pass this gift along.
Either side of Gebo landed Tiwaz and Ansuz (we are currently discussing this rune so please have a look in that thread) Ansuz stands for communication (It is Odin's rune as he brought the wisedom of the runes down to earth) and wisedom and Tiwaz a stable ordering force! So you cant get more teacher than that can you!
I dont know where I think elementary school would be better.. It was just the feeling I got throught the reading.
Tiwaz speaks of deadication, patience and a clear path to follow ~ so maybe this is you trying to work out which path..

I then drew Fehu as a concluding rune! This is great again as Fehu is like the Empress in Tarot ~ it stands for wealth ~ physical and spriritual ~ wealth of knowledge ~ wealth in giving ~ wealth in loving ~ wealth in living! It also stands for completion and good luck so I think you will definately succeed and be a great teacher!!! You just have to go for it ~ not fear your fears ~ whatever they are ~ they are illusions.. go for it!!! You will be great!! :sunny:

Sounds like youve got allot on your mind at the moment :) With work and family ~ I dont think you worried about anything ~ you taking everything in your stride and chilling a bit (or have been) but now your want to take action again and get moving :D

Yup, sounds all good. This interview doesn't come up till the 17th of Sept., but I have a good feeling about it. I'm very qualified for the job, and the lady I applied to responded only hours later to let me know she'd be contacting me in the future. It's part-time only, and the pay isn't fantastic, but it is closer to the field of my chosen career. I feel it will be fun, not too stressful, and will also give me more experience towards reaching towards that career. At the same time, it will also give me free time to take another job if I so wish, like web design work, which I absolutely love, and relax in the off time. I feel so very blessed to be in this situation, wherein I don't have to work full time or choose a job I dislike just because I need the money. Thanks to my fiance I am able to choose carefully and I really think I'll enjoy this job.

Recently some of my friends have really needed some support due to various health and family issues. And it's so wonderful to mention I'm coming to visit and just find them so excited and happy that I am. It really is such a pleasure just to sit and chat with them, because I know they really need the soundboard and someone to help take their minds off things. I suppose that doesn't sound right at all, but I'm really glad I'm able to be there for them whereas a few weeks ago my mind was on another planet.

As usual though, I'm rarin' to go on advancing towards my goals. I started looking for a job maybe 3 days after I finished school, and I had planned to relax for a couple weeks lol. Since I still have a few weeks until the interview I still have time to relax and reflect though, and I'm already looking into some temp web design work etc. I've suddenly felt a great desire to tap into my beliefs again, after a lull while I was swamped at school, which directly ties in with the last rune you selected. Here goes...

I asked the runes about your love and travel and this is what I got ~

For Love I first drew..

Eihwaz ~ This is a very strong and powerful ~ magical and spriirtual ~ and ultimately says ~ that if you set your thoughts and heart and pray fro soemthign with an open mind and heart you will achieve what you pray and wish for!! Also changes can be brought about by this rune ~ so if you want to change anything in your love life ~ Id say by this ~ now is the time to do it!

Kenaz ~ Again this is a really positive rune telling you to go for love! It stands for 'light' and can mean just that~ seeing the light ~ something you didnt see before or being allot more light with your outlook and love for life and those around you. Its a happy rune with allot of creativity around it aswell as knowledge.

So these too connected mean that something will happen soon ~ I dont know if you are in a relationship or not but improvements are deffinately on the horizon ~ just wait and see! I think this will all come into play from now up till Christmas :)

& for Travel I pulled ~

Well, we've moved every year since we've been together so that's change, we're getting ready to move again in a couple of months. Plus I had a baby this year which is pretty emotional. :) I'm also looking to start a new job soon.

This hits me deeply. I tend to never "let things go". I remember everything I've done wrong and continue to feel guilty about them even when I've long apologized and can't do anything else to make it right. Even when I don't talk to the person anymore. I also feel a little neglected. I make sure everyone else is getting taken care of but sometimes's I feel "who's taking care of me"?

I am trying to see the bright side of things and even as our once bad situation is improving I tend to feel hopeless occasionally. I guess this is telling me to REALIZE things are getting better and take that for what it is. Not to wallow in the bad times.

I have in the past felt very negative about myself, I am now not as negative about myself but I still can be critical about my life, I think the rune reading has made me realise that although I have stopped being very negative about myself, I still do need to give myself a break.

The last two runes of the 3rd aett!! How wierd!

Othila this means ancestral land. And often speaks of getting back to roots and really discovering your past, history aswell as you yourself. Right now I"m doing some deep soul searching, and my boyfriend and I are trying to seperate, but in a unique way. . . . we've been having a lot of problems lately (we're just funny. . . ), but something we realized is that a lot of it is from the fact that in the beginning, we went WAAY to fast. . . .and we're now trying to "seperate" in a sense. . . . to put back some space between us, so that we can ease back into our love. First out was Eihwaz which is both male and female and full of mystery! Its a tricky one and genreally means change, a death of something, movement and inner self. Ohhhhh.....that was so like one of those mysterious readings. I've had tons of ideas as far as work goes. I get the feeling that I may have to quit my job.....but for what? I don't have anything else I really want to do besides opening my own Metaphysical shop.....but then again, can't do that as I have no money......and I'm not so sure I'd have a clientel either here in my little back water town.

Oh it's definately mysterious in a good way! Gets my wheels turning! ...just because I have no idea what I want to do or where I need my path to lead me! I just know that things aren't getting any better at work and I am desiring something more fulfilling. I feel my path lies with doing something with the occult, but I'm not sure what that is yet. There are so many things that I want to learn, and I want to have a local store only because the nearest on is a 30 minute drive. The store we did have here is no longer in business....I think that was due to a lack of business. That is why I'm so hesitant on the idea of opening a store (besides the fact that I don't have the money or knowledge of even where to begin such a venture.) I have felt that my future doesn't lie here in michigan....of if it does, it won't be near where I live now. I've been thinking ....a VERY little bit of moving to Florida....but I don't want to leave all my friends and family.....upset my son's life....etc.
