My family has been told my grandmother has only days to live.
I feel empty and numb inside.
I have been having weird dreams since.
The dream that has stayed in my mind went like this:

I was on a boat with my family, I got asked what I wanted for xmas dinner, I turned to my gran and asked, "what do you want for xmas dinner, duck or turkey.she replied turkey, my family then gave me a weird look.
Next i'm on the boat but on my own, family are still there but i'm away from them.
Next i'm swimming on my back with my little girl on my belly, I look at the boat and it disapperes, i then hear the words ghost ship.

This dream really puzzled me, can anyone help me.

Thank you for reading this.

Hi, I am so sorry about your Grandma.
I dont read dreams for anyone other than myself at all but felt I had to reply express my sadness at your news ~
and say I think your dream has probally do with the pain and anxiety of knowing that she is in this condition and that she may not be around for this Christmas, and that maybe you are feeling or fearing this will cause allot of pain for your family.

Sending my love and prayers out to you and your family.

I agree with Silver Venus here, this dream probably has a lot to do with the fear you are feeling for loosing your grand mother... The part in which you swim with your little girl, gives me a feeling of circles, the circles of life and death. It also gives me a feeling of eternity, of eternal life, that we all stay alive in the memories others have of us, and we also stay alive in our children, grand children etc....

I am so sorry to hear about your grandma, I'll light some candles for you and your family.

Blessed be

First, here's a shameless plug for my dream interpretation class. :D

Second, here's a short list of questions for you to consiter when you look at this dream that I think will help you to answer your question.

1. How do you feel about the events/people/places/situations in the dream?
2. How do you feel about these things when you're awake?
3. Are there parallels or contrasts between these dream images and the emotional/intuitive reaction that they evoked and events occuring in your life right now?
4. Are the events of the dream revealing information about something that is currently occuring that you didn't consiter earlier, drawing your attention to issues that have been troubling you with out you being aware of this, or present information on how to cope with events occuring around you?

Beginning with these four questions, you can develop a fairly accurate idea of what the dream means before you even start looking at specific images and their meanings. Let me know if these help any, I try to give the individual for whom I'm interpreting a dream, the tools to work with their dreams mainly on their own because the language of dreams is highly personal and focused on the emotional associations that a person has with a given image.

It's only after we've exhausted all of these options that I will attempt to interpret the dream based off of what we have learned and the "standard" meanings that are suggested by various psychological schools. Some times, I will bring into play elements that are suggestive of divination, but that is usually fairly rare.

Like I said, I hope this helps. Aside from that, for my class, this is a preview of what's to come. ;)
