I'm not sure if this is an actual Pagan ritual for celebrating Beltane but my family has always made up May baskets with flowers and such and left them on the doorstep of the people in our neighborhoods. This Beltane, I passed that tradition on to my own 2 children. They had a blast.
Tonight, my hubby and I'll will celebrate in our own way :) :) :)

I did a small ritual with tea and bread with my little sister (whom I am teaching). We didn't eat all of everything and gave the leftover tea and bread at the base of a tree.

I stayed up last night and began my ritual just after midnight. It was a solitary celebration, very simple, but beautiful. Today I spent time with friends--we played in the backyard with the children, cooked dinner and watched Family Guy. It was a wonderful day.

I wrote a really funny (to me, anyway) poem in the style of a rollicking, rhyming Irish folk song about a really mean person who dies. :)

I also completed making my Circle of Stones (from Erynn Rowan Laurie's book Circle of Stones - I've been meaning to do this for about 6 years but never had all the stuff before), so that was pretty cool.

Oh yes, and watched Family Guy and American Dad.

I made a big meal with lots of friends I haven't seen in weeks due to essays and exams though we all live within a couple blocks of each other.

I had to work yesterday. But I had fun with my co-workers. They are a mostly Christian group of people, so I told them all "Happy MayDay" to get them in the spirit. We recalled having fun as kids at school on 'MayDay', dancing around the 'Maypole' and laughing. Then, I said to them, "Happy Beltaine!" They asked what this is, so I got to tell them about Beltaine and that this is the real name for this holiday, and that it is pagan. Since we were all in a good mood, they didn't mind about the pagan aspect, especially since they don't know I am Pagan. ;)

Beltane is my favorite Sabbat. This year I was lucky to have the day off, so I had all the time I needed. I did a morning ritual, then went into my garden and planted the herbs I will be using for magick and healing. I made a wonderful meal for myself and my SO and then I went to the forest and walked from about 23 pm through midnight and was back at about 3 am, lit candles in my garden, did a last ritual, placing a flowers at the Artemis statue nearby and went to bed.

I went to a protest but was too tired later to do anything... :( I'm going to see if I can't do anything tonight, though it would be belated.

Of course. Celebrating the Sabbats is about connecting with your Dieties and celebrating the cycle of seasons. There's no reason why you can't do that a day later.

You all have very great ways of celebrating Beltane.
Well, I'm actually celebrating today. See, I was actually working on Beltane, then yesterday, I was just too busy with errends and such, and now today, my day off; I plan on writing in my journal of times I felt that s*x was magickal and of when I fell in love with my husband, and the sweetness of our first kiss. Then, I plan on dancing...no unfortunatly not around a maypole, don't have one. But I will dance, then I plan to commune with the fairies, I wrote a calling for them...wish me luck! Then, after all of that, I plan on meditating a bit, and maybe sing and chant. THEN on top of all of that, my husband has a surprise for me when he get's home from work, all he said was to be ready to go somewhere. Yay!
HAPPY BELTANE TO ALL!!!
BLESSED BE!

Went up to the Gates of the Mountains with the kids. Got to see a lot of new plants blooming and birds returning to their nests and all sorts of outdoorsy stuff.

I celebrated Beltaine with some of our local Pagan Community. (We counted 60 people attending.) We had a camp out, at the same location they will be having Pagan Stock (http://www.paganstock.com), Friday night through Sunday evening.

Friday every body set up their tents, and munched a little. Our local "zen bunnies" (dont' ask.) led every body in getting in touch with the land, and then they had a native american style ritual. Sadly I was running late and missed it.

Hearth and Grove did ritual for Saturday. Following that we had a HUGE fire, wich lit up the whole place. We danced around the fire, and the drummers beat on their drums, happy couples danced around the fire then ran off to the lovers bower.

Sunday we had two, or was it 3, more rituals. Saturday we had kids activities, making gourd birdhouses. We had teen ativities, capture the flag. Every body had fun playing frisbee. Durring one of the rituals I got to play the part of "life", bring life back into the village.

It was so much fun. Caer na Donia y Llew provided food for almost the whole weekend. It was a cold weekend, so hot food was more than welcome!!
