Yaldaboath is a gnostic god. Very little is known about him. Check the Nag Hammadi library. if i remember right, this was the god responsible for creating the world that we live in. When he created the world, he said, "I am God! There is no other God but me!" Then a voice was heard to say, "You are wrong, Samuel" Samuel means "blind god" as he was blind to the Infinite Light of which he was only a part. In other words, he was too big for his britches. He is mentioned a few times in various gnostic gospels, so check there.
Yaldaboath was the offspring of Sophia, who created him without the aid or knowledge of the real God. Sophia was like God's consort, but she wanted to be a creator just like him. What she made was an arrogant and jealous and vindicitve god.
Y. was said by the gnostics to have created Adam and the human race to serve him and that this is the god that the Hebrews and the orthodox Christians worshipped. They maintained that the true God, the true Creator was not jealous or wrathful or arrogant. The true Creator would not send a flood to wipe out the Earth's population, that was the petty Yaldaboath.
Hope this helps a little.
