View Full Version : How involved are you?

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
Do you regularly perform rituals?
Do you regularly perform magick?
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
How much time and money do you invest in practicing?

As I sit back sometimes, feeling like a failed witch, I ponder what others are doing and how committed they are. The last time I practiced magick was around three years ago, I only have a couple of books and no real tools that I use, and other than performing the Samhain ritual at the witches ball, I have done nothing else. Somehow this makes me feel bad, like a Christian who never bothers to go to church. But even though I don't practice like I feel I should, I always manage, by some internal sense perhaps, to know when Beltane or Samhain or any of the others has rolled around, and often, without even consciously knowing, spend the day thanking mother nature for her beauty and all she has to offer. Many times after spending one of these days in awe, I glance at the calendar and say "Oh, hey! Look what it is today! No wonder I felt the way I did!"

The holidays? yes I acknowlege them, I can't always celebrate, but I make a note and I think about it, do my own little version of prayer..
I've only ever really performed maybe 3 rituals, I'm sort of handicapped at the moment anyhow but often because of who I've lived with I haven't been able to perform rituals often.
As for magick, I have my own little form of it that I practice every day, when I wake up and at any other time during the day that I feel I should or need to....
Ritual tools I don't have much of, like I said with who I live with I can't really have fullfledged rituals or anything, plus the lack of money does add in...
To me my magick is part of my life, so most often you'll find me in jeans and a Tshirt when I do magick, simply because thats what I wear, who I am and magick is in me, so why not be myself? it is nice to dress up now and then but I dont find it neccessary.
I spend what I can afford on candles and incense and other little nicknacks that I need, and time- if it's really vital then I'll take the time, rushing is never really that great a thing to do.

As for the rest of your post, I totally get what you mean. I do it all the time, I know what day it is and I realize I dont have anything planned, I dont have anything for a ritual or celebration. It makes me feel bad, and yes I feel like I'm missing out. But I know my faith is strong enough to where the Goddess knows what I believe and that I'm thankful regardless if I celebrate or not. :flowers:

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? yes.
Do you regularly perform rituals? yes.
Do you regularly perform magick? no.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? mostly moons and holidays
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? not really i do have a cloak that i wear.

i am rather new to practicing, and i dont really do any thign on my own just with groups. i feel that i am not ready to do things on my own yet. i am getting ready to though i am learning.

I have the exact opposite feeling! I feel I'm not ready to do anything in groups because I don't know enough and don't want to look a fool.

i am shy of doing it by my self because i dont want to do it wrong, i am in a coven and i am learning from them to do things right. its better to ask q's first then to mess stuff up (thats how i feel any way)

i am also handicapped. its hard for me to get around most of the time i sit in the circle and dont have to move around alot.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? In some way, shape or form, yes, and I observe a lot of non Wiccan holidays as well.
Do you regularly perform rituals? Yes, both with an open circle and in private at home.
Do you regularly perform magick? Yes, some of it is formal ritualized magick some is just simple candle lighting and prayer.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? Oh, I have a whole collection of them, do I use them all the time, nope. I've been practicing long enough to know I don't absolutely have to have all the trappings to get the same result.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? Sometimes, it's fun especially when celebrating with a group to get all dolled up, at home, I usually just wear a simple shift, usually cast a circle, sometimes just ask for attendance/guidance from the elements.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? When it's an impromptu thing, I feel perfectly comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. The powers that be are with us always, they don't have a dress code.
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? I spend a ton of time, I meditate and pray every day in front of my altar, hold semi-formal rituals at least twice per month, attend public Sabbats etc... As far as money, I buy candles and herbs, but the majority of my magickal expenses are in my humanitarian pursuits. I consider all of the time and money I donate to charity and other organizations to be an expression of my beliefs.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
No, but really because in my own non-wiccan path I don't have a place for all 8. Buuut, out of the ones I do celebrate I miss them sometimes.

Do you regularly perform rituals?
Unfortunately no - I tried to start doing daily things like morning rituals, but once schoolwork picked up I chose sleep over ritual.

Do you regularly perform magick?
Nope

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
I have a few that I've collected over the years along with a whole bunch of altar decorations.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
I tend to be very simple about my rituals and any other workings. I use only a few correspondances and mainly just candles and incense. I don't own any "witchy" clothing.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
I invest more time than money, but with the rut I am in now it's not saying much...

I know how you feel. I've been in a terrible rut and sometimes I feel like I'm just giving my beliefs lip service and I feel very guilty. Though I think once I am able to manage my time properly I can work past it.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? in some small way I do, but I observe alot of stuff, dont make a big production of them however
Do you regularly perform rituals?other than attending full moon at the UU church, no not formal ritual, I am an internalist
Do you regularly perform magick? again, I do tiny things, most is internal, sitting quietly
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? I have a couple but rarely if ever use them, function just fine without the symbolic stuff
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? no, never
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? thats me
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? other than research books and supplies for incense and oils I make, very little, did the shopping thing at first, but found that was too ritualized for me

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
Nope. The holidays are to attune ourselves to the seasons. I never quite understood that. The seasons are going to roll around regardless of my rituals. I find that I feel the change without any rituals at all. I have ever since I was a small child. That and there isn't a huge delineation between the seasons here on the Gulf Coast. I find it very difficult to do a ritual acknowledging winter when the temperature is in the 70s.
Do you regularly perform rituals?
Full and new moon rituals. Sometimes something comes up and I miss them, but I'm pretty regular about it.
Do you regularly perform magick?
Nope. I only perform it when the need arises.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
I keep it pretty basic: an alter I made out of three pieces of wood, some salt, some water, a sword, statues of the Lord and Lady, and five candles.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
I hate complicated rituals. I get so distracted with trying to get every little detail right that I can't focus energy on the really important stuff. I like to keep it simple. I'm definately the jeans and tee shirt type. Or shorts and tee shirt. Or just shorts (but never skyclad).
How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
As little as possible. The Lord and Lady are well aware of the fact that I work two jobs (one full time and one part time) and my wife works full time and we still struggle financially. I have very little interest in fancy tools and impliments beyond an initial oh-look-at-that-isn't-it-nice reaction, and my gods don't require me to put a further financial strain on my family.

Well, I'm broke so I'm the tee shirt and jeans type in front of the candle. Besides, I never wear anything but my jeans and boots so I'd worship in them anyway!

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
Mostly. I definitely ackowledge all of them but may not have planned anything formal. However, a couple of months ago I joined up with a great women's circle who gets together for semi-public Sabbats and closed Full Moons. It's been so enriching!

Do you regularly perform rituals?
Most rituals are included with holiday celebrations and Full Moon observance.

Do you regularly perform magick?
Just the everyday kind.

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
Not really. Lots of candles, crystals, and some jewelry.......

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Our group is very casual but we do open and close the circle somewhat ritualizied. Some women may dress up a little if they are Priestessing that night or just for fun. But I usually do not have the time!

Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
Ding! Ding! Ding! That's me when I am doing my solitary thing :hahugh:

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
Not much money at all. I am way past the newbie buying frenzy stage LOL I am investing more time now and that feels great!

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? Well only when I remember them. I try, but I have a hard time remebering what day it is. (I have calendars all over the place but that doesn't seem to help!)

Do you regularly perform rituals? Yes. Well...I try to anyways.

Do you regularly perform magick? Yes, I suppose so. When I think it's needed.

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? I most likely have too many!

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?

The latter. I'd rather be comfortable than uncomfortable because it'd take my mind off of what I'm trying to do and I'd focusing how uncomfortable I am...which then defeats the whole purpose.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing? Well I don't spend much money because I for the most part make my own stuff.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/People holidays? No, I try to but a lot of the time I just don't have time and or energy.
Do you regularly perform rituals? No, mostly only when I do them on holidays.
Do you regularly perform magick? Not really.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? I have a couple of things that represent things to me. But I haven't actually bought something specifically for ritual.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? Lol, heck no.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? Yes, very much so.
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? I need to spend a lot more.

I've been studying Wicca on and off for about five years, but I feel like I don't know anything. I really need to get my act together. Heh.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?

Not all by any means, but I do get to most of them.

Do you regularly perform rituals?

Never on my own. When ever I get together with a local groups for a holiday I do though. This beltaine I got to be "Life".

Do you regularly perform magick?

All of the time! I'd say I use magic at least 5 of the 24 hours in a day.

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?

A few, though I seldom use them. I actually use them more for meditation then I do for rituals.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?

I like to wear comfortable nice cloths. I could give a hoot if their ritual garb or not.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?

Occasionally I buy charcol patties, and of course gas for my truck.

I do everything I can to observe the holidays. Sometimes i have to incorporate the pagan holidays into the christian ones, because my husdand's kids are christian, or for other members of the family (such as Yule/christmas, Ostara/Easter... you get the idea)

Yes, I regualarly perform rituals every full moon.
I perform Majik as needed.
I do have a lot of majikal tools, most have been gifts or were made when the need for such arose.
I can be both highly ritualized (my personal preference if only that it really enables me to get further into the majikal mindset) and jeans and t-shirt in front of a candle (when time or situations dictate)

I do invest a lot of time to my path. Money hasn't been much of an issue at this point. If i spend money it's usually like birthday money and it's for something I'm unable to make myself or it might be an emergency such as needing a specific coloured candle for a specific spell or ritual and time or materials don't allow me to make it myself.

I have to say, I do like the flexability of the pagan paths in genteral.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?

I do not observe any Wiccan sabbats. I observe each equinox, soltsice and the entire month of October in regards to ancestors and death, but they are not inherently Wiccan so it's a moot point. Outside of them I regularly observe other sacred days of my own preference.

Do you regularly perform rituals?

Yes.

Do you regularly perform magick?

Every day.

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?

Quite a bit.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?

Highly ritualized? Yes, but not in the aesthetic example you attribute it to you. My highly ritualized nature lies in how I conduct my workings and how very elaborate they most often are.

Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?

Sometimes. I'm a "wear whatever the hell I'm wearing" half the time and the other half I wear whatever seems most appropriate (a great deal of silver [silver pants, boots, etc.]) during divination rites.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?

Money? Enough to always get what I want an dneed. Time? Multiply 3 hours (minimum) by 365 (days) and you'll have your answer.

I feel that I am very involved. My spirituality is constant. I don't celebrate Wiccan or generic pagan holidays. Many of the days I celebrate happen to fall on days that they also have a holiday, but just because they are on the same day, they are not the same holiday.

I dont own many things I consider to be specifically ritual tools. I have all sorts of stuff that gets called into service on altars or in ritual, but the rest of the time they are being used for other stuff. I like it like that, I like that my spirituality is indistiguishable from the rest of my life, that the tools of my practice are the same tools I use for other practical purposes every day. It is wholistic.

I have little rituals I do regularly, and special ones for special needs or days. I usually wear my regular clothing, but I do have a short ritual robe for special occasions.

I don't cosider my time an investment, it is not like now is spiritual time, and the rest of my day isn't. It's all woven together. Sure, there are times when it is more intentional. I guess it averages out to a few hours a day. More if my time on MW counts.LOL.

Again, the $ can't be counted because so much of my stuff is used for so many different things.

Do you regularly perform rituals? Nope
Do you regularly perform magick? nope
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? Lots of tools that are collecting dust.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? When I go out to an open ritual, yes.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? yes, At home
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? Not alot of money, but probably about 8 hours a month. (More if you count posting at MW a spiritual practice, LOL)

I joined www.witchschool.com to give me something structured to work on, which I have been on and off for going on 2 years. I'm one of those nerdy people who like getting grades, and certificates and things, to help me feel like I acomplished something, so I figured joining a school was the best bet.

ive really gotten over my initial romance with magic, now its just melded into my various philosophies. it happens (both the magic and the melding of it). its only slightly regrettable, and mostly unavoidable. on its own, in any form, its a flawed application of change, a flawed spirituality. i find, anyway. ten points for extracting a nice conclusive statement of the past few days assorted understandings.

Wish i had time to "observe" and practice my Paganism. However, with my 6th form college studies I find it extremly difficult to do anything remotly Pagan. Though im hoping to get into the swing of things, so to speak, during the summer holidays but I'll just have to see how its goes. lol

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? Nope. I'm not really Pagan and definately not Wiccan, so... :p
Do you regularly perform rituals? Mmm... not usually.
Do you regularly perform magick? I regularly pray, and involve energy work when I give my lovers massage. I've been known from time to time to do a bit of "candle magic" (ie using a candle to focus a prayer or thought), but that's about it.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? Probably none at all. I have a 'wand', but it's really mostly a toy *laughs* I don't actually use it with energy. I know what uses it may have, but I haven't needed it yet. Mostly belongs to my lover anyhow.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? *snickers* What, would that be ren faire garb? :hehehehe: No no, I don't have to wear anything special. Probably whatever I had on. I haven't had a need to use a circle, though my lover does. Not... the same kind as a "calling the quarters 'an all that."
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? I suppose that would be closer to me!
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? Technically I wouldn't need much, if any money. And time-wise... well, when I get a few minutes to myself and I'm in the right mindset, I spend some time with meditation, prayer, or energy work. I'm just generally not interested in casting spells or hexes or anything like that.

lol, wand.

I would have completely disreguarded the entire theory of wands, except that I found with this particularly well-made thing seems to conduct energy really well. (It's entirely wood, actually, and is suppose to be a replica of a Harry Potter style wand, double :doh2: )

It seems to conduct energy a lot like wiring conducts electricity - really focuses it. I think a lot of serious care went into making it, it's extremely well balenced and uniform. I initially bought one for a little girl I take care of (She's obcessed with Harry Potter), and they looked so well crafted, I decided to get one as a collecters item sort of thing. (The guy who makes them is edrjun1 on ebay... really awesome stuff)

Not usually. The Solstices and Equinoxes mostly 'cause we are an astronomy aware household.
I'm a solitary, so ritual, if I do it, is pretty simple.
I do it as needed but I try to keep my "muscles" in shape.
Yeah, I have a lot of stuff, mainly 'cause I like to make things. I built my altar, stands for the quarter candles, a huge storage cabinet, two ritual knives with scabbards, banners, altar coverings, and I'm currently designing clothing for a group of "Barbie" dolls who will serve as icons of the Greek Pantheon. I have a short sword blade waiting to be made into a ritual sword. I make the candles I use in ritual (and if the power goes out, they get used for more mundane purposes!) and whatever I wear in ritual, I've made. (I LIKE dress up!) I even made the rug! The downside of all this is, when someone not "in the know" is around, everything has to be put out of sight.
I like circles but I've been a street clothes in the yard witch recently since my ritual room has been torn up for a while. It is in our unfinished basement and about 19 months ago, we found out that the contractor who built our house had used unlicensed plumbers and substandard materials in our house. Until all the repairs are done, there is no point in setting up the temple just to take it down again. "sigh"
The money I've spent has been spread out over nearly 15 years and what is being spent right now is either on physical improvements to the basement or BOOKS, which I can't resist. And, yes, I feel like an witch wannabe sometimes. I think we all do from time to time. The Gods understand.

I celebrate the eight Sabbats, but I do not generally observe Esbats, perform rituals, or perform magick. I have a chest full of ritual tools, but I don't use them often. When I do perform a ritual, it's often very simple. I don't wear ritual garb, just regular street clothes. I wouldn't say that I pour a lot of money into my practice, but I spend a generous amount on witchy items. I collect statues of deities and I like to decorate for the Sabbats.

Looking at my answer now it doesn't sound like I'm very involved, but I am. My spirituality is part of my identity. I have a Pagan business, interact with many Pagans, attend events, and so forth. It's just there, everyday.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? I never used to, but I never really had many people around with the same beliefs and I felt like I needed to be led in it some how. Now I go to group rituals (which are great because when you are in a group you have a leader and that makes it easy). I do this because I want to raise my daughter in my beliefs.
Do you regularly perform rituals? I perform them usually only if I feel the need for protection. I rarely do rituals for other things other then the Sabbats. Or if I am in desperate need of something. To me.. performing rituals is like bringing out the 'big guns'. :D
Do you regularly perform magick? At this moment I regulary do spells for my business and to reverse negativity. (I have been having a few problems.. Someone sent a spirit after me a week ago and it tried to attack. My husband had to literally fight it off.)
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? Well, it depends. If you consider ritual tools that are bought in stores or online, then no. I have very little. I do however grow my own herbs and use them in my spellwork. I also have several semi-precious stones that I do chakra work with and a good supply of essential oils (that I use very sparingly). I have a wand I bought from a gem show for $10. I have no altar, a mini cauldron I use for charcoal incense usage, no altar cloths, no altar tiles, not even a god/goddess symbol. But I do have several pentacles around the house that I have handmade from various things and I have tons of books on every religion known to man. :fpeek:
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? Hah! Hardly. I have a cloak that is too short. ~lol~ And I only where it during cooler temps at group rituals.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? To me it doesn't matter how you are dressed as long as the intent is there.
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? I am sad to say, as little of both as possible. I am a simple garden witch so most of my money is spent on buing seeds, pots, plants, dirt, and fertilizer. Unless there is a major, major issue, I honestly don't practice spell work much.

Do not feel like a failed witch. Not all witches are pagan, not all of them celebrate the holidays, not everyone practices all the time. I stopped practicing for 5 years due to the effects one of my spells had. (seems I was a bit more powerful then I realized which is a scary thing) I am just now getting back into it. I do advise going to groups. You don't even have to say anything really. Just observe. I did that and made a lot of great friends in the process.

for me i feel that books and tools are good to give pointers but i believe you cant be a book witch it has to come from within, you have to be comfortable with what you do.. for some people it comes naturally they dont have to work at it they dont have to use complicated formal ritual to accomplish their goal.. I am one of these people and so is my best friend.. sometimes we feel that because things come naturally we are being cheated as we dont have to work at things much.. but i guess as with anything it comes more easily for some then others.. the best way i can describe it is that its just something you know and do, like its an everyday normal part of life like breathing or getting dressed.. I dont think it makes a person a 'bad witch' (if you know what i mean) if you dont do formal ritual etc.. its just natural normal part of you..

That, and where do you get that much to spend outside of utilities and rent?! I could definately use it!

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
Actually no, since Im not really a wiccan or pagan.

Do you regularly perform rituals?
Not really, only if need be.

Do you regularly perform magick?
Sort of, especially when trying to get a ride (eg. bus, taxi-cab, trains... ) It used to work fine, until recently....:P

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
Not really. The only thing I have a lot of are crystals and stones.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
erm no. Its really hard to be very ritualised especially in the country where I live. There's nosy neighbours everywhere who call the local press at the drop of a hat.

Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
yeah I would think so.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
not much. I probably average $20 a month so far on magick stuff.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
No, but I observe all the holidays of my religion

Do you regularly perform rituals?
Yes, I do, as well as regularily pray and make offerings

Do you regularly perform magick?
Yes; not always big spells but nearly everyday I'm doing some sort of magic

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
I use a lot herbs, but that's about it. Not really a lot of extra stuff for ritual that doesn't come from my kitchen.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Nah, not really. I have an altar, which is a giant rock in the woods, but that's about it.

Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
Uh, while I can say yes to the jeans and the T-Shirt, I usually use more than just a candle. I have candles, food offerings, flowers, ribbons to tie on trees for offerings, ect.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
With time, it's hard to say. A good amount. I don't spend a lot of money though; I have an herb garden I get most of my herbs from, so the only thing I really spend money on is books, which I would probably be buying anyway even if I wasn't religious.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? I don't do the sabbats or esbats. I'm still trying to get a handle on the Kemetic calendar of holidays (which is like a 'choose your own holiday' deal)
Do you regularly perform rituals? No, to be honest, not big ritual type things. I try and say morning prayers, but I haven't had the chance for a week, and things in my life are indicating a time of spiritual awakening in the near future, which should be fun. The circumstances surrounding this are a whole other rant.
Do you regularly perform magick? I've performed three spells in the four or five years I've ben studying wicca/paganism. I suppose it's because I don't feel the need to perform magick for every occasion. I actually pray a lot more than I do spellwork.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? I have a wand that I never use, a substitute athame (read large kitchen knife) and a pentacle, all from my Wiccan days. I don't use them now. I really should clean out my stuff.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? This type of ritual was the reason I left Wicca behind. It's not my style. Too complicated and fiddly.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? OK, if I do anything ritual-esque, I'll usually be skyclad, though I'm not past whatever I'm wearing. I'll do tarot readings on the coffee table in front of the TV if I have to. If it works, it works. Only once have my cards decided not to read for me and that was when I bothered with the cloth and candles and incense and stuff. I think they're as impromtu about it as I am. I do have a permanent altar set up and I love candles, so often I'll light my candles on my altar and just meditate or pray, or whatever. Light some incense. Just get spiritual. (did that sound lame?)
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? Not a lot, as I haven't got a lot of money to begin with. The most common items I buy with my money are incence and oils. Time-wise, not as much as I would like to. If baths weren't such noisy things to have at 11 pm when everyone's asleep, I'd do bath meditations more often (now that I've discovered that it works for me). That and night time is my prime. I much prefer the night to the day. I am not a morning person, and I have no plans to become one.

Well, I'm not Wiccan, so I don't observe the Wiccan holidays. I regularly meditate, but as for rituals, well, it depends on what you mean by *regular" :) I hardly have any ritual tools; I prefer to be dependent on external things as little as possible in my rituals. I'm usually fairly ritualized, but for small things I'm much more relaxed - and on the whole, I'm pretty darn relaxed for a ceremonial magician :) I invest some money in it, but not all that much, and most of that is for books. As for time... not enough _tsk_ But I'm trying to do better!

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
I try to, but found it difficult with my Christian fiancee around. Even though he's getting more used to my witchy version of Christianity and acknowledgement of the Jewish/Christian Goddess (for me, that's Sophia), I still get self-consious (sp?) about it. Now that he's moved back to our hometown for the next 15 months as of a couple of hours ago (WAAANH!), I am intending to become more faithful to celebrating the full moons and holidays.
Do you regularly perform rituals?
Not regularly.
Do you regularly perform magick?
Almost constantly, but not usually ritualized unless it's involving the Wheel of the Year being at the right point for my purpose, especially around Ostara, Beltane, and Samhain.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
Enough to do a proper Wiccan ritual if I wanted, though I'm not Wiccan. I do incorporate Wiccan practice into much of my Craft.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
I want to make my own garb. It helps me get into the mindset for doing things if I'm wearing the "right" clothing, but I can't afford it, yet. I have cast circle in the past, though I don't always find it a necessity since I take more of a martial artists "chi" idea of the energies that I work with. I do perform sage cleanings, and sometimes ritual showers to prepare myself for a ritual, and charge my stones ritualistically. I basically go with the feelings I get after praying for Divine guidance as to how to best prepare for a ritual (or if one is even necessary) and go with the feelings I get from that.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
Sometimes, if I don't have a lot of time or I'm just trying to get into a certain mindset.
How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
Money? You mean that green papery stuff non-students get? I wish I could invest more in the materials to make my tools. Some of my tools are au naturale (like my wand). I don't invest much, though there are still a few things I'd like to start using that I can't afford right now. My altar tends to be cute but humble with things I aquired in my "past life" as a Renn Faire going Christian. I represent the masculine and feminine aspects of the Diety with small pewter sun and moon candle holders, and use my big celtic looking cross (as opposed to a Celtic cross) that has a dragon around it candle holder to represent the Christ (not that it needs to be there for him to be there, but it's an atmosphere thing). I burn incense in a cheap incense burner, or use a shell for my sage. I have a sarong with celtic and tribal artwork on it for my altar cloth, but I got some cheap Halloween print cloth during a post-Halloween sale that is purple with stars and moons on it that I'm going to use during the dark time of the year.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? Well, I'm not Wiccan, I'm on my own path, and I've only recently started, but I'm sure I'll celebrate a few holidays, though I may not celebrate all 'typical' ones.

Do you regularly perform rituals? Not yet.

Do you regularly perform magick? Hmm. I would say so.

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? I have very few.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards? No, I don't think all of that is necessary.

Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? That would be me.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing? Well, I can't do much yet (because I have yet to get a job), so I offer more time and effort than money.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?as much as i feel necessary... money isn't important to my spirituality, but iwill spend a bit here and there if theres something i really want...

I'm not traditional or anything, i do what i want, when i want... i feel restricted by structure, which is why i don't follow it. everybody has their own way of working magick... i improvise and do whatever i feel like for the time being... sometimes i'll write something on a piece of paper and burn it with the flame from a candle. other times its more intricate, but whatever i do, i make sure i feel comfortable with it.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/People holidays?
No. I do not observe Lughnasadh, and generally I do not celebrate Beltane as I'm always on a trip for my high school band. I tend to only celebrate the equinoxes & solstices, and Samhain.
Do you regularly perform rituals?
No. I do a lot of meditations and little daily devotion prayers throughout the day.
Do you regularly perform magick?
No. Only when it's highly necessary.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
I have no standard set of ritual tools. I have an old teacup for my chalice, and crystals and candles, that's about it.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Gosh no.
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
Yes.
How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
I spend money on books, candles, and herbs, which is basically all the money I spend on my practice. It depends on what you mean by practice for how much time I invest - I see living with full awareness as practicing, so that is all of my time.

Yeah we do observe all of the holidays, we don't always do something big but we always do something. We don't do things everyday, life just gets in the way. There are 6 ppl in the house with completely different schedules and I pretty much (not completely but most) do the cleaning and cooking etc. We do have the proper ritual tools for when we do one, but to us it isn't necissary to be in cloaks etc.... and we only invest money in things like tools and things neccissary to grow herbs (and herbs that we can't grow)

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays?
Yes, I do. And I always look forward to them, because I love it :)

Do you regularly perform rituals?
Yes.

Do you regularly perform magick?
I do a lot of small-scale magick, especially in the kitchen and garden.

Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all?
I have some, but not a lot. I find a whole bunch of tools a bit distracting. I use my hands a lot- it probably comes from being a midwife, where my hands are my tools.

Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
No.

Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type?
Kind of, yes.

How much time and money do you invest in practicing?
A lot of time, not a lot of money, since I grow/collect all my own herbs and generally get most of what I need in Nature. I will spend some money on stuff like god/dess statues, pentacles etc.

It is the spiritual aspects to neopagan druid path that attracted me and holds me. I celebrate publicly the 8 main holidays in street clothes. I have 2 altars at home where daily I offer prayers of thanksgiving or praise to the Gods. If there is an issue in the family or my life I may ask for help, once again in regular attire. I try to meditate often but must admit I need to practice more often. I try to get out in nature often and get in tune with the earth mother and spirits. The habit for much of this is created through practice but I do feel driven out of love and respect for the Gods.

Do you observe all the Wiccan/Pagan holidays? I try to, at least, be aware of them and make some small gesture to show respect for the times of the year. The issue is that I also try to observe all Jewish holidays. Sometimes it gets to be a bit much to fit into one schedule and I choose between what holiday seems to "call" to me. I if I miss a sabbat, though, I don't beat myself up. It's okay. Holidays were created for humans.
Do you regularly perform rituals? In the strictest sense? No. I believe that actions we perform every day can be rituals, though. Just washing dishes can be a meaningful spiritual experience if you place your focus in the right place.
Do you regularly perform magic? Just LIVING is magical. :) The very breaths we take are filled with magic.
Do you have a lot of ritual tools, or none at all? I have an athame that I sometimes use. That's about it. Garb doesn't seem to help me focus or heighten the experience for me. It just distracts me and makes me feel awkward. I wear whatever feels natural for the particular event.
Are you highly ritualized, with circles, garb, and the whole nine yards?
Or are you the jeans and tee-shirt in front of a candle type? See above. :)
How much time and money do you invest in practicing? Money? Very little! I use what is around me. I prefer to be creative like that. Time? Ehh... it depends. I want to do better in that aspect this year, and so I'm going to start trying to get back to regular meditation, etc. We'll see.

Cool thread idea! :)

Well, I do observe all of the Sabbets. I try to celebrate them all, I also try to 'live my life' according to them. Like whatever is in season, and I also came up with this kooky idea of only wearing the colors for the upcoming Sabbet, like now I only wear red, maze (yellow) and gold for Summer Sostice.
I don't really perform any rituals.
I also don't really perform magick, I mean, I'm not that 'powerful' yet.
I do actually have alot of the tools, I just don't use them too much.
I'm more of a jeans and t-shirt in front of the candle type.
I try to live my life according to the Sabbets and Moon cycle, other than that, I don't spend a whole lot of 'time' with it, I really should, though. And money? I'm on a very tight budget right now, so I can't, but if I wasn't...oh boy, there's LOT'S of stuff I'd buy!
Blessed Be.
