Why do i feel so alone?

I know that i'm not the only one to have this feeling but i feel so alone. I light incense, i pray in front of my altar and i send energy and read my oracle cards but i feel like i'm not a real witch. I try so hard to live as one but i hear of all these amazing visitations of the goddess and god to practicing witches. . and then there's me, who's never had that. When will i ever have anything like that happen? I want to feel the Goddess's prescence so badly. . i know she's there but my human senses just aren't good enough. Will i always feel so alone?

My visitations from the Goddess were far and few between, and I always felt, before anything happened, that I was doing something wrong. Whenever I asked to be visited, nothing happened, and as soon as I stopped worrying about it, then something did happen. I think that you're not alone in wanting to feel the divine, but have faith that you are a real witch and let them come to you in their time. I always felt that all those years alone were a lesson in trust and humility. Hang in there, it'll happen for you too. :bigredgri

I think that, as stated in other posts, things will come together for you. There is every reason to see the good things that life brings living as a witch. Given time I am sure that you see that you believe in what you are doing, because that is what I think is missing: you are doing all the right things but the feelings are just not happening to back it all up. Don't worry because this has happened to me before and I'm sure we aren't the only ones. Stay true to yourself!

You cannot judge yourself by what is happening to other people, for everyone is on their own path and will experience things differently and at different times. Sometimes the anxiety you feel about something will prevent it from occuring. You have faith and good intent, and that is what matters. Just try to relax, keep doing what you are doing and things will happen as they should and in their own time..Don't worry, you are doing just fine......

Ok, perhaps it is a matter of perspective? Consider how you feel, (happy, uplifted, calm, serene, passionate, WHATEVER) when you look at a full moon, or sit next to a tree, or play in the dirt, or splash in water, or whatever activity might be seen as connected to the divine for you.....these, in my opinion, are moments of incredible power and divine interaction and presence. Just a thought

I couldn't have said it better myself. I was feeling the exact same way and then one day my Goddess contacted me and I think she contacted me a while prio to and I wasn't paying attention. I still get envious of what friends can do but I still cant but then I remind myself that I do have some abilities and those are what I'm meant for as this point and time. Do try so hard and just take things as they come. Thats the best thing you can do. Whats meant to be will happen when you are ready for it. Just because you think you are ready, doesn't mean the gods and goddesses do. Dont worry, Sweetie. Your not alone.

I've never experienced the God or Goddess but it doesn't mean that they aren't there. Don't allow your self to be one of those people who have to see it to believe it. What a boring life to live. Most of us will not experience the supernatural and yes.. it DOES exist. :smileroll

I agree with what everyone is saying. Especially Darakash. It is possible that you are already experiencing the Divine, but just do not realize it. It is a matter of perspective. It is the feeling inside of you that will bring about the experience. If you live everyday in a Spiritual frame of mind, and really feel spiritual (content/happy/etc.) in the things you are doing, then this can be viewed as experiencing Divinity. And the more you see it this way, the stronger the bond (and the feeling) will get, and then you will know without a shadow of doubt that you are in the Divine's presence. So relax and enjoy your spiritual path and let the river of contentment flow through you when you are doing your daily things. I practice alone, too, and I understand the feelings that come from not having others around you to share. But remember that each person has their own path, and their own idea of what a path is and what experiencing Divinity feels like, even if they are in a coven. So, trust in yourself and in your beliefs and practices. You will find that the Goddess has been with you the whole time. :hugz: :hugz:

I hate to be a pessimist but have you explored other spirituality? Maybe you're trying to hard to be on a path that isn't meant to be.

Bless your heart you precious soul,hey,we all have gifts that are different,my gift is to serve,you have one too,I dont know what it is but will pray that it will be made known to you.Im a christian and will ask God to be with you,well,and Goddess too,I just read about her in the bible and now im a believer,I guess.You have been gifted in some way,we all have,the fact that you are wondering means you are reaching out,I pray you will connect to God and the Goddess soon,Im sure they see you and know your heart.
