Do you greet the new members when they make their introductions in the Introductions section?
I have made it a priority to greet everyone who joins our site.

I certainly do. I'm glad of how we grow everyday and I also want them to feel comfortable and know that they are appreciated. I felt that way when so many lovely members said to me "welcome home" when I got here!:floating:

I wish I had the time. But I do wander in there a couple times a month and go down the list and say a hidy ho to everyone.

Yes and I also give welcome karma if they have not been poked yet when I get there! I think it makes the community seem more warm and welcome to do it .

I try to wipe out the karma everyday there, if nothing else has taken it, hate having karma just sit there, :) I greet as many as I catch, but am not consistant

I had to be the one to vote other, lol, as I guess I needed this "nudge" to get me there. I will now be more hospitable. Thanks HorseCrow for giving me that nudge.
whoo hoo this was my 600th post!!!

I try to. Somedays, there just isn't enough time. A welcoming committee sounds like a great idea! Making new members feel welcome is vital for any thriving community.

I started greeting people once i'd been here for a year. There must have been hundreds of people to join since then. I just know how it feels to be new in a place and I remember how nice it was to be welcomed and so i'm just doing the same..

I try to welcome the new member when I can, but sometimes I am limited on time and can't

I have done, but not recently. I just get so distracted by Just Talk, Music and Just Silly, but I should make an effort.

Yes, I too was greeted when I joined and felt so welcomed, that I decided to greet all who join. So, I always start off in the Introductions, greeting everyone, before moving on to the other forums.

I do on occasion, but being new I feel a littel funny greeting people I think. Maybe I'm just shy ...

Yes, for the most part. When I happen to see an introductory thread I do.
And I always say, "Welcome and Enjoy!"

When it occurs to me. I used to be better about it. Lately I've been pretty bad, however.

More often than not.
Sometimes, I just get behind and leave it for a while. (for shame)
