...darn it! Every single time I see my friend who I have a strong infaturation with on Instant Messager I get so freaking anxious...I mean my stomach gets all knoted up, I feel like I am about to be sick...sometimes I'll even start shaking, and it even gets hard to breathe. And then I get all paroniod if he dosn't message me, I'll think I've said something wrong,I've offended him, or I am to clingy...I try to think rationally about it, I mean friends don't always have to talk to each other and have busy lives...but rational throught always gives away to paranoia. Acting like this was perfectly fine when I first met him...but that was almost two months ago and it still hasn't changed! Maybe it's just bad becuse I know he really likes me to...we tried the dating thing for a few weeks, but in the end mutially agreed friendship was better.Probley dosn't help matters that he's my only friend as well. Does this happen to anyone else? Or is my anxioty out of control again? :yikes:

They say being friends before you date builds a stronger relationship but
they fail to mention what happens when the two friends break it off.. it can
get akward.
If you both were mutual on the split.. then what's going on?
You obviously still like him if your getting upset that he doesn't talk to you
alot on messenger or takes too long to reply..
Your going to have to put your feeling up on a shelf and store them. If
you become obsessed with your friend and start acting all weird on him,
you might drive him away

It was mutal becuse of age diffrence, and we both live pretty far from each other. And truthfully I didn't really want a lasting dating realtionship, as I can't deal with the presures that come with that right now in my life...and it really turns out we make great friends...I am alot more comfortable talking to him now that I ever was before, alot of the pressure is off...until later. Once we start talking things are fine and I wonder why I got so worked up in the first place...

I think most of my feelings come from lust rather than wanting anything romantic. Oh I wish I could just put my feelings away and forget about them...

...I wishI could just relax and not take everything in life so litterally.

That happens to me too! I've known the guy for almost 2 months and I still do it. x_x It's gotten rather annoying.

hang in there, try not to read to much into things and get all agitated then freak him out with these scenarios he knows nothing about. :hugz:

I do the same thing, and sometimes I really wish I didn't. For me, it's probably just lust and that's nothing worth getting anxious over.
