:boquet: :boquet: :boquet: :boquet: :boquet: As I sit here looking at the plant I got from my 8 yearold which she planted at school and decorated the pot it got me thinking of how much I love being a mom and yes it is a full time job and rough at times, but obviously I and the rest of us moms in the world were meant to do it.
Anyways to all the moms here Happy mothers day

Thank you for the wonderful message and may your mother's day be just as wonderful! My 5 year old brought me home a flower that they started from seed in class, and drew on the container. Then when she came home, she lovingly planted it herself in my flowerbed. :) They may be trying, but boy one good moment makes up for about a dozen trying ones!

Thank you!!! Happy Mother's Day to all y'all too....
I'm sitting here admiring my new little canvas bag that my daughter, "curly" had made in school...on one side it' has multi-colors like autumn fall leaves (my Favorite!!!) and on the other side she drew the greenman for me. She told me in school that everyone was asking about him and she was able to tell a bit about the greenman to them. Such a darling child....but then again, I'm biased! :smileroll
This is very special to me...I shall treasure this little bag always.
Again......
Happy Mother's Day!!!!!

Well I am glad to see everyone here and sharing thier day or weekend :D
I remember my first Mothers day was spent in the quaranteen (sp?) section of the nursery in the pediatrics ward due to poor Cloe getting the RSV virus she was only 2 weeks old. At least i can say Mothers Day has been better since , and you know what I forgot to add that she also made me a card to go with the plant to.
and Sakura made me two cards at preschool which I have hung in my wreath in the hall.
Thanks wooleybob

Awww.. This thread is so sweet! Thanks, and I'd like to wish all my fellow Mommies a very wonderful Mother's Day as well.
I think my most prized Mother's Day present so far is a little thing that my Son made for me in his Kindergarten class (He is now almost 13.. Time flies!). It was a laminated decorated construction paper that had a picture of him, his handprint in green paint, and the most adorable poem I'd ever read:
"You always clean the handprints
I leave upon the wall.
I seem to make a mess of things
because I am so small.
The years will pass so quickly
I'll soon be grown like you.
And all my little fingerprints
Will surely fade from view.
So here's a special handprint
A memory that's true.
So you'll recall the very day
I made this just for you!"

And a very Blessed Mother's Day to you all. The hardest yet most fulfilling thing we'll ever do. :boquet:
I don't know what my daughter made me- I am not allowed to open it until tomorrow. She's funny!

I actualy have a date today with my husband and our son is staying home for once. We are going to see Hitchhiker's Guide and then grab some sushi at this fancy resturant that we just can't take our son to, until he's older at least! LOL

Awwww so sweet!
It's my youngest's birthday today and she just turned two...she likes to play with my greenman pendant that I always wear...she was playing with it and then pointed to the greenman planters I have on the wall behind me and said, "Meenman". She said Greenman!!!!
I know that's not a biggie, but it was sooo nice to hear that from her and get my lil greenman bag from "Curly" yesterday....it made my mother's day weekend really special.
:hugz: to all the mama's out there! :D

Well ladies here it is is Oficcially Mtoehrs day, Happy days to you all.
At midnight last night my little boy was still up and he was just so cuddly and I then got overwhelemed with emtion and started to cry and think about how lucky I am to have him considering he almost dies at a hospital many miles from where I was and I look at the scars on his chest and just think how greatful I am he pulled through his ordeal. Which I do nto think I hve totally dealt with. The same with Cloey and her complications to. Sakrua is the only one who did not have difficulties at birth.
Well I am just so happy they are with me and doign as well as they are.
Anyways before I get toemotional again Have a great day.

Well, my little one is too small yet to give me anything but smiles and "goo".... not that those don't make me melt all on their own!
But we had a visit from his Auntie and her family yesterday. (Auntie is 16, so "family" is her legal guardian & guardian's mom. We've gotta invent some new words for the relationship with them, because explaining who they are makes it sound too cold. Let's just say they were invited to Arthur's birth.)
We'd planned a picknick in the nearby park (an absolutely fabulous place... it's a little bit of the Wilds stretching through the heart of town), but the unrelenting rain yesterday nixed that.
So we had a picknick here in the livingroom. I got a wonderful card from Auntie, telling me how happy she is to have me for a sister-in-law, and how great she thinks I've been for her brother.
I also got... a little "herb-garden" kit with oregano & basil seeds (yes, there is a plant theme this year), a framed picture of me kissing Arthur, and a little "mom's kit" with some lotion, body-wash, and note-cards, all in a little box.
Of course, I'm new enough to motherhood that I still feel like it's all about Arthur. I'm just basking in his glory.
