I went to the Olive Garden for the first time a couple weeks ago and was quite impressed by their Seafood Fettuccine!
So, I went and got the stuff today and made my own.....it turned out dam good!
I made a creamy Alfredo sauce with shrimp, lobster bits and (very small amount of clams) with lotsa garlic along with some parmesan bread-sticks!

Only problem is I always cook like I'm cooking for 10 instead of 5.:D

So.......

oooooo!!! Can I come over to eat? I can make this double chocolatey brownie dessert that is really delish!!! Please?!?!?!? *hopeful grin* :clapping:

WOOOO!!!! Ya know at Olive Garden they have this menu of suggested wines that would go good with certain meals an' I'm like "I gotta get Jenne out here and teach me about wines":drinking:

I have had many a disasters in the kitchen trying to go by no recipe....lol...don't even get me started on my attempts to make fudge a year or two ago:thumbsdow Never Again!

That does sound good!

I'll bring some Boston Cream Pie!
Here's the recipe. ;)

Boston Cream Pie

Cake:
~~~
1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup All-purpose flour, unsifted
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in medium bowl until light and fluffy.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
Pour batter into well greased and floured 9-inch layer pan.
Bake in pre-heated 350 oven, 30-35 minutes, or until tooth pick comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely on rack.
Cut into 2 thin layers.

Filling
~~~
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine sugar, cornstarch, milk & egg yolks in saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat untill mixture boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Remove from heat, blend in butter and vanilla.
Cover: Chill.
Spread filling onto 1 cake layer, top with remaining layer.

Glaze:
~~~
3 Tablespoons water
2 Tablespoons butter
3 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Combine water & butter in small pan; bring to full boil.
Remove from heat; immediatly stir in cocoa.
Beat in sugar and vanilla (whisk if necessary) until smooth.
Cool slightly.
Pour Glaze on top of cake, let some drizzle down sides.
Chill before serving.

Yields 6 servings

We have shrimp alfredo alot. It is cheap to make and we all like it.
