Maybe we'd all know each other better if we learned other things about ourselves. I'm curious! So list 5 things that we, as a group, don't know about you! Folks have such diverse life histories, I can't wait to learn more about the people behind the teeny icons I see!

My best friends in the whole world are my immediate family. I guess that's why I never really want to go out... I've got it all right here at home.
I would never make it in the corporate world. I'm a horrible employee. I fire myself regularly. I guess I'm a really bad boss too, because I keep rehiring myself.
I love the ocean. Sometimes I regret not living closer to it.
I am easily goated into a debate. I know it's a horrible waste of time... but I'm a sucker for a good tongue lashing. Anybody wanna argue about something?

Alrighty.. Let's see

1. I have an incredibly hot temper. I guess that goes along with the territory of being both a Redhead and a Sicilian. Double threat! woot! I also don't back down from a confrontation. I see it to the end, whatever that may be.

2. I like pixel people more than I like people offline. If you put me in a room full of people, I will be sociable. But chances are I won't befriend any of them. I have 3 good friends. I don't have patience, time, or the need for any more. Two of those friends I've had since the 6th grade. The remaining is a male, my absolute best friend in the world. Met him online about 10 years ago. He lives here in Memphis, so that was added incentive to move here. I also tend to get along better with males than females. With females, either I don't like them, or they don't like me. Men keep things simple.. No cattiness, no back-stabbing, etc.

3. I'm addicted to coffee and ciggies. I can stop anytime I want to, I swear! ::twitch::

4. I've come close to death 3 times in my 30 years so far. All courtesy of Hydrocephalus, which was pretty much "cured" in 1997 via an operation which freed me of my shunt! Woo!

5. I'm a neat-freak. If I spot even a crumb on the carpet, I will vacuum the whole place. I'm also incredibly anal about even the toilet paper: It has to be loaded "over" not "under" (know what I mean?). I guess it's not a bad thing, my house is always clean, so eh..

#1, I can crack both my pinkiews constantly, at my will. Its pretty pointless, but funny.

#2. I was alwasy getting caught crying and my parents believe that "anythign that happens in this house, stays in this house" so i was always afraid they'd catch me crying. So now I have masterd the skill of being able to stop even the worst crying fits, and putting on a happy face, its bad becuase sometimes i can stop crying so easily i dont even know if I was really crying, if that mae sence

#3 I value friendship over absolutly anythign in teh entire world, and if someone came up to me and told me that i could ahve all the money and possesions in the world and have anythign i wanted given to me, or spend eternity with Tiffany, alone and poor, living homelss in the woods, I would go with Tiffany. I put my friends before everything, and they mean more to me than absolutly anyhting else, because after sepnding 2 years not speaking, depressed and alone, insomnia and all, all you can think about is finding somoene who understands, who knows waht its like to be you, or like you, and when you find them, you value that more than anyhting. Or at least, i do.

#4 My grestest fear is abandonment. My sister basicaly raised me and when she moved away I thought id die, that started the depression, and now that i have Tiffany, i'm scared of losing her. Abandonment is my greatest fear.

I cried when the Berlin Wall fell, because I honestly never, ever thought it would happen and was so relieved when it did.
I cry when I watch Blackhawk Down and We Were Soldiers, because I understand the brotherhood that is being depicted and can't think of a more beautiful thing and am sad that it isn't more universal.
Had one of my best friends blown up by a hand grenade when I was 12. He was trying to take it apart and his little brother was reading comic books behind the couch when it went off. His little brother was not hurt by the explosion.
I never knew what the civilian world was like until I was 22, having lived on or near military bases my entire life to that point.
I was once homeless for 6 months and managed to hide it from my part-time employer(Sears), my school(I was going to Cincinnati Technical College at the time), and just about every one else until I was busted by a cop for getting into a storage facility to find shelter for the night. It was the second time I had been homeless, the first one being when my first wife kicked me out on New Year's Eve.


Hope that isn't too much info. I don't think that there is anything there that I have told anyone on here, I could be wrong, but if I am, it would only be one or two people I have told, so that should do the trick.

1. I'm a writer. I write novels, some short stories, and the occasional poem. I haven't had anything published yet, but I haven't been trying very hard; it's not that important to me right now.

2. I'm very much an introvert. Being around people for long periods of time exhausts me. I don't like crowds (that's part of why I hate shopping), and I don't like parties. Part of it is being an empath; part of it is just my nature. I don't wish I was an extravert; I'm happy being an introvert.

3. The beach is my favorite place in the world. I love swimming, especially in the ocean. The New Hampshire ocean is much too cold, though.

4. I have obsessive-compulsive disorder. Mine is fairly mild, and I'm getting better at fighting it off, but it's still a pain in the butt. I don't have the kind where you obsess about germs and have to wash your hands over and over, but I have various silly things that I feel like I have to do or something terrible will happen. I also have generalized anxiety disorder, which means I'm afraid nearly all the time, in the background, even when I'm not afraid of anything in particular. But I'm getting better at getting rid of that, too.

5. I'm a huge bookworm. I probably have over a thousand books in my room, and more in the basement. I mostly read fantasy novels and realistic fiction, though lately I've been reeding memoirs. I also like heartwarming family stories and fluffy girl books, if I'm in the mood for them - they're some of my guilty pleasures. And, of course, I read occult books.

2. Table manners are more important to me than the food I'm eating. My grandparents were very strict about how we ate. I've never been able to get my grandmother's voice out of my head when I sit to eat. It makes me angry that my exhusband lets my son be lazy with manners when he is at his house.

3. I judge people by their posture. I can tell if we will get along based on how he/she sits or stands.

4. I always sit "Indian style" (crossed legged - or criss crossed applesauce as my son knows it) in my computer chair - even if I am at work.

5. I run 12-16 miles a week and feel like I'm going to die every time I finish.

Hmmmm, five things about me....that you already don't know...guess that rules the diet cokes out.

1. I love trees...give me a forest and I'm quite the happy little camper. I love camping and fishing. My idea of heaven actually. I love nature and prefer the woods. Hiking in the mountains would come a close second.

2. I collect quotes. I have tons of them. Many folders on the computer and a hard-copy folder with little scraps of quotes on various pieces of papers and napkins and stuff that I've collected over the years. All of the quotes have meaning to me. I must organize them someday.

3. I love horses and used to barrel race them.

4. I love to collect office supplies...I love pencils, pens, stuff to store them in, staples (got green ones) and just love to keep my desk well-stocked so my kids can get at them and lose them and I have the fun part of going out and re-stocking my desk again...it's an endless cycle...luckily not TOO expensive.

5. I love to do needlework and am working to perfect my blackwork. I deal mainly in cross stitch and am working on designing my own charts to meet the pagan market. There are some good ones out there and I'd like to contribute to that as well. :D

1. i dont feel you should shout out that you are something. you can be out just not out loud. my only problem is i have issues with not telling poeple. i feel its kinda like lying and i cant stand lyings so i feel i have to tell everyone once i meet them but i dont like being that way.

Okay let me think?

1. My favorite food is Cajun.

2. My favorite car is Dodge (Dodge Viper to be exact!) I will have one someday. But because I didn't have enough money for my Viper, nor a place to put it and I needed a 4X Drive, I purchased (paid cash too) a Dodge Ram online and had it delivered. It was like getting an extra big box from Amazon!

3. My favorite place is up in the Mountians of Northern Georgia (Of which I don't currently live.)

1) I have an eating problem. I think about my weight 100 times a day it consumes my time.

Hmmm, 5 things about me huh????

1) I'm 16 and have already experienced more than most people 3 times my age... which has made me quite a bit more mature than most people my age.
2) I'm not a very social person, I don't mind it though... I prefer being alone than being in a crowd. Most people find this strange because I play in a metal band... I'm onstage a lot yet I don't like being the center of attention... yeah weird.
3) I'm quitting heroine at the moment, that's pretty common knowledge around here... but I still drink and smoke pot, and cigarettes. I don't think I could quit all of that at once so I'm getting the thing that is worst for me out of my body first.
4) I'm a short, italian, goth girl... not very pretty but (from what I've been told) somewhat sexy. I don't really care about being sexy or not I'm just who I am and that won't change for anyone else.

1) I'm an introvert and I love being an introvert! Nothing annoys me more than extroverts who try to "convert" me.

I love the beach. I have to live near it, be able to hear it. I can't stand to be away from it. And no, a lake won't cut it, it has to be the ocean. I cannot live land locked. I love the sight, sound smell of it:smile:
I can't stand people in general. I hate crowds. Hate closed in spaces with crowds. Something as simple as an over crowded line in a grocery store gives me fits:scream:and sitting elbow to wlbow with strangers wil just not ever happen (if I can help it) I sit outside and wait for my doctors appointments (and my nurse knows right where to find me :D ) You will never catch me at an evening show at the movie house:shaker:toooooo many people!

1.) I'm a sucker for guys in uniform, and guys who love babies.

2.) I love the water, and I love being in or near it. Being away from an ocean or a lake for very long drives me crazy.

1. I love horses (I connect with Rhiannon/Epona) and although it has been 7 years since I have ridden or competed on a regular basis, I will make it my life again someday soon. I used to have 4 thoroughbreds and 1 welsh pony. I trained mostly in eventing.

2. I am obsessed with anything relating to the end times, probably due to my catholic past.

3. I cannot hold a job for more than 2 years before taking a break for several months (I am on such a break right now). I used to only be able to work for 3 month periods but obviously my will is stronger and I can tolerate working somewhat now.

4. I love any and all vegan/vegetarian food but mostly Indian...I think I could eat Palak (sp?)Paneer for the rest of my life.

5. I think I am bi-polar, I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt at 16...I am an alcoholic, constantly trying to recover. (I crammed all those depressing things into one).
